I've been on the lookout for a gun that I can get away either pocket carrying or IWB carrying, so I hit up a rental range today and found I really liked the XD-S in 9mm, but now I'm being told I'm an idiot for not pocket carrying a Glock 19 or a VP9 on top of being told that XDs suck. Do people actually pocket carry double-stack guns?

Some people do but it's painfully obvious for anyone to know what it is if they're slightly familiar with the shape of a gun and happen to be looking in that area for some reason.
If the people around you aren't looking for a gun they tend to go un noticed even though you think it might stick out. I went a full month with my girlfriend not knowing I had a p938 in my pocket when we first started dating. She knew i had shit in my pockets and that I didn't like her putting her hands in my pockets, but she didn't know it was a gun until she asked about cc weapons of choice and I pulled the p938 out.

Also having my vp9 in my pocket feels incredibly uncomfortable and the grip tends to stick out because I don't wear crazy oversized clothing. I think even a Glock 26 is to big for comfortable all day every day pocket carry even though I would prefer the higher capacity compared to the 7 rounds in my sub compact

Why does it seem like most of /k/ ignores shooting as a skill? There's barely any discussion on bettering yourself as a shooter and instead, the majority of threads on the catalog are basically this

Rarely is there a thread that is dedicated to diagnosing shooting errors, showing improvement and discussing drills. It seems like the majority of posters here would prefer to take a picture of their gun over actually taking it out to the range and training.

Because the majority of those things can only be improved by small changes in form and lots of practice. Neither of which can be helped by taking to someone on a Filipino rock climbing board.
So, a bunch of the locals here on my street decided they want to start a local militia. The founder I guess you could call him is a retired Army vet who thinks we should have one for some reason. The idea spread like wild fire among all the fellas like him, and they even went as far as to send invitations to join to everyone on the road. He has like 30+ acres of land he said we could use to "train" and what not.They even agreed to pool money together to buy cheap kits for the people who don't have anything including shitty surplus rifles. Just like the T-1000 from Terminator, advance nano-tech will allow all future weapons to be a simple gray blob comprise of trillion of nanomite, allowing it to reform into any weapon the user desire, either via a physical controller or brain chip signal
Imagine an operative in the future, he will need to carry no equipment and still effectively fight via versatile nano armor that can absorb kinetic projectiles which will then be fired back at the enemies thanks to the multi-barrel caseless rifle that just formed in 3 seconds. The soldier can then request the nanomite to absorb more material and form a walker or an APC around him for extra protection. Incredibly versatile and effective
For my final thought on this: If you're truly going to dig deeper down the rabbit's hole, I think it's fair to say nanomite will replace flesh and transcend humanity. Making us into nothing but virtual consciousness existing within a mechanical frame
