Trail runner here, I don't know much about guns, but I need something light I can carry with me when I run through the backwoods and bear territory. What can stop a bear that is light and easy to carry? I'm thinking a 158 grain .357 mag Remington or something, but not sure. Like I said, I don't know guns. Help a nigga out. Pic for attention, it's an RIP bullet this guy was showing me.

choose one and only one. If you are worried about bears 10mm or .460 are your min calibers.

I was watching the news at a relative's house and got a thorough chewing out by 3 relatives at once for implying a ban on rifles would be an infringement of 2nd amendment rights. They all agree civilians should only have handguns.

Veterans are people
Most veterans are idiots.

In an agora once I had a veteran chime in and tell me that 5.56 would eviscerate a deer so completely you'd have to scoop it up

I can see why he got 49 kills. This thing looks like fun.

I always see people attributing the extent of his shooting spree to the >10-round magazine, but all he'd have to do is buy more than one 10-round mag to do the same damage, and he could've done the same with a handgun, if need be.

It makes me wonder how people don't attribute it to the absence of someone to stop him rather than the tools he used to do it. But I guess that's liberal fear-mongering for you, right?
>>

Clubs with alcohol like that usually don't allow you to carry, for good reason. He essentially attacked a gun free zone. How was anyone going to stop him? Were you wielding your katana?
>>
>>30291103
jump at him i guess. If ya gonna die, die with style or honor.

Is their a weapon that is capable of causing as much damage in the time frame that an AR-15 type rifle could and is also legally sold in the USA.

I live the the Northeast US and a lot of local politicians are saying that if the US bans AR-15s it would stop the damage caused in mass shootings.

Not looking for politics just want some facts from professionals and not politicians.

Literally any semi automatic rifle in an intermediate sized chambering.

Mini-14s are ok in most liberal states.

about three fiddy

Considering they beat the shit out of us in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan, I'd say pretty fucking strong.

They have a metric ton of troops but almost no means of force projection. So in China: Really strong. Anywhere else: Not strong.

Plan on getting one in the future in case of bears. I've heard it makes a decent bear round but I've never shot one.

How is the price of ammo though?
>>
>>30287152
Watched an episode of "Alaska state troopers"- 2 moose were in a guys yard attacking his dog, he dropped both of them with his 10mm.
Its an excellent round, but availability in my area is a little slim, kind of like .22 250.
>>
>>30287152
Depends on the bear, black bears? A 10mm should do it. Brownies? Very hot 44 Magnum, absolute minimum.

So what's the deal with Hungarian AKs? They're pretty cheap. How are they are as far as quality and reliability are concerned?

So what's better, Wolf or Golden Tiger?

I can get wolf for a little cheaper, but I've heard bad things about it

go out and shoot it! don't listen to these fudd fucks on here, if you like your rifle, shoot it and have fun!

Let's say I'm looking for the overall best into innawoods rifle around.

>large enough caliber to take down the occasional mountain lion and black bear
>reasonably light
>rugged as fuck

Shooting range let's say is 200 yds max. It doesn't need to be milsurp, although i do like the way milsurp looks.

How does the SKS, for example, compare to the AK variants in terms of ruggedness?

ITT we design the most terrifying black rifle imaginable, so horrifying in appearance that to simply gaze upon it could kill a nu-male liberal pantywaist faggot. So terrible in disposition that women and children are harmed by its mere existence. A weapon do awful that it's thirst for blood cannot be quenched. Edge this sucker up.

along with the skull, try this as a stock ans grip, looking up suitable barrel now

I fucked up guys, i just had my first ND and i dont even know what to do now.
I was as usual practicing my focus on the front sight with my CZ75 i usually do that with a full magazine loaded in the gun because my hands are really weak and i want to get used to the heavy gun.
What I did was retarded and stupid.
I pointed the gun outside my window at the neighbors house and i pulled the trigger since i also train with my trigger pull.
Ofcourse it turned out to be loaded so yeah.
Im still living with my parents so i gave my dad all my guns and ammo except my CCW.
So thats my story im still too stocked to greentext sorry.
Also ND thread i guess.
Share your stories of how you fucked up
Pic unrelated

Too bad it wasn't pointed at your head. There is never an excuse for an ND and anyone that has one should reconsider ever owning a gun.
>>
Owned guns for 26 years and never fucked up that bad.

Why are you pointing a gun at another persons home even empty every child knows to not point weapons at things you are not wanting to destroy.
>>
>>30284688
I was 100% sure that the chamber was empty.
I even clearly remember racking the slide and seeing a round come out.
I think i forgot that there was a magazine in and another round was in the chamber.
Also ive been looking at my neighbors house for a while with my binoculars and it doesn't appear to even hit the house.
Again i admit what i did was retarded.
I think it was a good thing actually.
No one got hurt and i learned a lesson

This makes me thing.
If i did mass killing by stabbing dozens of people with fixed bayonet without shooting the gun once, would people still call for stricter gun control after it?
>>
>>30284564
Probably. I bet by this point if you stabbed a crowd of people they'd call it an ar 15
