All you need is
Bicycle inner tube (mountain bike inner tubes are thicker and work well for large framed guns. road bike inner tubes are better for the small guns)
chalk or talcum powder (for steel frame guns to protect against rust in the first layer of rubber tubing)
tape (duct, electric, even that paper masking tape)
Directions for steel framed pistols to prevent rusting
Just measure how long you want the grip and cut out 2 identical pieces
Lightly coat the inside with the powder or chalk
Slide onto frame
Now use the tape to cover the bicycle tubing rubber to get your own custom width and finger pull length ( I like thick grips, they give my support hand more purchase ) It doesn't need to be perfect. .. yet.
Once you get it close to what feels good you can now slide on the second layer of tubing over your tape wounds
If you want it thicker or even want to remove excess tape just roll down the inner tube like a condom, work, and roll it back up
Now you have custom grips. 2 layers of rubber and chalk to fight against any sweat buildup/rust
For polymer pistols you can skip the first steps and go straight to tape wounding.

What are your thoughts on my situation.
My wife doesn't want any guns in the house whatsoever so I started buying parts to build an AR to keep my uncles that way if I ever wanted to use it I can just go pick it up from his place. My wife was not okay with that even the simple idea of spending money on firearms in any way shape or form has left her to the point of becoming a volcano she's now decided when she gets home from work she's moving out to her friend's house and she's going to file for divorce on the 15th July. Find you three days ago we were talking about what I would like to get for Father's Day and she asked if I wanted firearms and said she was okay with us having guns. I'm trying to figure out whether or not I should try to save the marriage but bring her to the dark side and convince her to renew her concealed carry license and get a damn pistol and carry it on her and allow guns in the house. That or let her go through the fucking divorce and just keep firearms in the house regardless. What are your thoughts?

Today in the morning I was forced to take the train to the city because of the ongoing road construction that makes the traffic unbearable.
I wasn't exactly sure what to expect, because I haven't used public transport in years.
First of all, I was surprised how cheap the service was. I think I paid only $5 for one-way ride to the city. Not bad at all.
When the train arrived on time, I seated myself, pulled out my iPad, and started browsing my morning reads (while sipping on the Starbucks coffee I had just picked up on my way to the station) - New York Times, Bloomberg, Cosmo, and Wall Street Journal.
Between sips of the coffee, I noticed an older guy who was trying to make conversation to one of the female passengers sitting across me. I could tell she was being disturbed, but ignored it for next 5 minutes.
As I was minding my own business and storming through my morning lectures, I overheard that old dude saying something along those lines:
'I survived Vietnam, and I gotta tell you, it wasn't a breeze. I bet this kid there has no idea what it was like back then.'
I looked up from my iPad and I noticed he was pointing at me. This is where I decided to draw the line.
I smoothly replied:
'I bet you have no idea how it feels to wear a $2,500 suit, work in the air-conditioned environment, or treat a lady right. What is your net worth by the way?
Why don't you stop harassing passengers and find another seat instead before I call cops on you, old man?'
His jaw dropped as he was trying to mumble something back. He stood up, and left on the next station. I bet he was a bum too.
The female passenger thanked me and proceeded to make a small talk throughout the rest of her ride before she left 2 stations earlier than me.
To say the least, taking public transportation was quite an eye-opening experience that reminded me why I should be grateful for where I am today.
