What do you do in a situation with a lone gun man murdering people in a given area?

I often wonder about these situations because how can you defend yourself if unarmed?

Like those people in Orlando out numbered the gun man severely. Why wait around to die instead of attempting to attack him?

My friend told me situations are a lot different when being shot at and fear can paralyze you.

But still, a gun man can only shoot effectively in one direction and can't watch behind him while shooting right?

Anyway, what to do in a situation like this? I really hate the idea of just waiting around to die. Why is it so hard to defend against active shooters?

Get on the ground and hope that you're not shot at.

Don't ever think about charging the shooter, you'll get demolished.

These people in Orlando were fairies, but more than that they were in a total state of panic. The room was dark, they probably didn't see shit and it must've been hard to locate the shooter from the sound, because a nightclub is nothing but music and people talking.

The guy had been preparing that shooting for close to three years, there is no way in hell you or anyone else would have been able to stop him.

This particular thing hasn't happened on US soil in quite some time. I'm skeered, but not as skeered as I was after the 'Hook. Obama knows he can't get anything passed in his lame duck phase and said as much a few weeks back. I do worry he may try to force a supreme court appointment in exchange for not pushing new gun legislation.

Proud citizen of Francistan, state of Eurabia here.
I'd like to purchase a (or more in the future) gun, in case a Civil War broke out, what would be your recommendation ? I'd like something pretty precise (with a scope if possible), in semi auto and pretty reliable for my first purchase. I was thinking of a Mosin, a Kar 98 or a SVT-40, as they're pretty cheap and prooven themselves good.
Also, is a handgun really necessery ? If so, is a Glock 19 the best choice?
Thanks /k/omrads.

With all the mass-shootings going on nowadays, and the nigger prez jumping up from his bed at 2am to command that we ban guns in a country with a historical right to have guns every time a human kills another human (something that is bound to happen), what response should a non-gun-owning person have? I have never held a firearm, but I feel like if I want to be able to adequately defend my family, I need to buy a military gun before that is no longer possible. How should I do that and is that the right train of thought?

Look online for reviews on local gunshops. Hell if you say what area youre from on here there may be someone who can recommend one from your area. Once you find one, simply go and tell them you are a complete novice and know nothing but are afraid that you may not be able to acquire guns in the future due to legislation and have been putting off exercising your right for too long and want to get started. Tell them what kind of gun youre interested in such as an ar15, handgun, etc. and inquire about basic gun safety courses. Take courses. Rent some guns at ranges and figure out what you like if you dont have friends with guns. Dont be an aspy. Be respectful. Never joke about anything off color as far as the purpose of wanting a firearm because you dont want to give off the "hes gonna shoot up a school" vibe. Just be honest, humble, and willing to learn and theyll help ya out buddy. When youre READY about making a purchase, do it online. I recommend slickguns.com which is basically a search engine, and ammoseek.com for ammo which is again, a search engine. When you buy a gun from an online store they usually have a drop down tab of local gunshops in your area they ship to. Select the one you want, order it, and when it comes in at the gun store theyll give ya a call that its ready to come pick it up. I say order online because gun shops heavily upcharge plus you wont have to pay taxes on it. When you pick up your new gun theyll have you fill out a 4473 form, do a background check, and probably take payment for a transfer fee (typically 20 to 50 dollars). Hope this helps.

So, This thing has an aircraft jet engine and advance electronics and complicated firing systems.

It might as well be hand forged by Master Smiths in the Dwarven mines of Moria and use Mithril and Adamantium to make up its components.

Did we not learn from the germans in WW2? Tiger tank took 2,000 man hours to construct compared to the Sherman or the T34 which took considerably less time.

Difference being that with the sensors and gun-laying it has, it can do first-round hits, it can inmediately switch to a new target after having shot one, and with that it can do a 1v10 against inferior tanks and win.

Also, Tiger was just not a very good design.

For example:

There were a few others within the last 24 hours, more than usual at least.

In this day and age and considering what happened I don't think it's a good idea to let people know you own guns or associate with people who do. It's disturbing how people on /k/ proudly throw caution to the wind and go to meetups like nuggetfest where they are photographed doing "problematic" activities or even acting non-politically correctly which like it or not is a huge black mark nowadays thanks to the perpetual outrage culture spawned by social media. I'm aware of the censoring faces policy, but there's always at least one faggot who forgets or a troll who deliberately doesn't. Remember, all it will take is another mass shooting for some anonymoose wannabe hacktivist to get those pictures and harass you with the full support/complacency of the leftist political machine.

I've been trying to find a movie for the longest fucking time now. I actually don't know if its a movie or show but there's a scene where a guy goes into a van or car and shoots a few people inside with a handgun. But as soon as he fires the first shot he goes deaf and he stays deaf for the entire scene, the sound in the movie stays muffled and he keeps telling his buddy "I cant hear anything" or something to that extent. In light of recent events and the way things look to be unfolding in the United States, federal gun legislation seems to be only a matter of time to at this point. Not to be caught with my pants down, I'm hedging my bets and am going to buy and/or assemble an AR. My price range is set at $500 - $1000 and I'm aware that building one from scratch part for part is slightly cheaper, but I do not posses gunsmithing tools, nor have I ever built a weapon before outside of bench dissassembly of my 870, .22 Henry lever action, and a nugget, none of which are near as complex as an AR-15.

My question is, what does /k/ value the most in their AR?

Also, on a hypothetical notion, say things go to utter shit more so than they already have and we fall into total chaos. What would be the best build for urban combat?

A good barrel is going to be one of, if not the most important part of your base rifle. Who you go with depends on your budget. For around $150 I'd recommend AR15performance.com, they make great barrels all around and are the top choice for 6.8 SPC builds. If you're looking to spend a bit more, Ballistics Advantage, LaRue, Noveske, plenty of other choices. Lowers are all about the same except for the rollmark and finish. My Rainier has a much better finish than my Andersons.

You can get all the tools you need for around $50-$75. Roll punch pins, roll punch starters (not absolutely needed, but help prevent fucking up your lower), a receiver vice block, torque wrench (rent one if you don't have one or want to buy), maybe a polymer/brass hammer for the roll pins, barrel nut wrench (may come with hand guards). Assembly is very easy if you have basic mechanical aptitude.

Getting a good optic is also important, especially if concerned about SHTF. Primary Arms makes good budget red dots, not sure about their other scopes. I personally like the Vortex Strike Eagle, 1-6x zoom and great reticle.

Pic related cost about $1500 total with tools and 6 magazines. I could have saved by using a cheaper upper and lower, but the quality was worth it to me.
>>
>>30282382
>What would be the best build for urban combat?

an AK pistol concealed under a coat that can be quickly opened.

as for AR builds? a 10" or 14.5" SBR build. if you don't want to pay for the tax stamp/hold an illegal weapon, then a 16" is the best you can get.

if shit were to pop off innacity, youd want easily hidden weapons -- if mil/leos see you with weapons once some hypothetical shit pops off, they're just as/more likely to kill you than any terrorist or criminal. small rifles fit the bill here, and at urban ranges, you dont need a full length rifle anyway.

>.22 Henry lever action, and a nugget, none of which are near as complex as an AR-15.

the lever gun is almost certainly more complex than the AR, and though the nugget isn't "complex" per se, neither is the AR...

the "high tech" aspects of the AR are only visible on the engineering side of things -- namely, it's high tolerances and "space aged" materials (read: aluminium and plastic). otherwise, it's still basically a tube with a rotating bolt system, and a trigger system so classical JMB would have likely made one as a kid.
>>
I built a lower today with needlenose pliers, a hammer, and a pocket knife. I fucked up the finish a bit but I don't care because I rattlecan all my guns as a "YOU WILL NEVER SELL THIS" insurance policy.

>The Nordic Combat Uniform System (NCU) is an all service (army, navy, air force, home guard and special forces) combat uniform system for male and female soldiers. It is an inner to outer combat uniform system (from top to toe), which is functional in worldwide operations.

We're getting a new uniform in 2020 and it's going to be common with the other Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden). In the Finnish news it was told that the new uniform will be 100% combat-oriented, so it won't look as pretty as the current uniforms and it won't be used in garrisons, parades, on leave or anywhere similar. Current plan seems to be that each country will keep their own camo.

So, discussion about the NCU.

Very very late last night (early am here in the u.s.) there was a thread with this image running.

The topic was simple, although the content of the thread varied quite a bit. Basically, what the fuck is going on right now in our society? I have a very ominous feeling that something terrible is about to happen, and we are unfortunately in the small minority of people who may have a bit of foresight into what is about to happen.

Let me say this. When have they ever been so bold in our lifetimes? Big names, such as George Soros operating in plain sight now for the past year or so, way fucking different than his usual M.O. of working from the shadows.
As our presidential election draws even nearer, I feel more and more wild things are occurring, but even worse, the reactions of the indoctrinated drones are nonexistent.

Really sit and think to yourself. Why the fuck would Obama tell schools that if they do not allow transgender students access to the bathroom of their choice, he will cut their funding. How in the flying fuck does that even remotely benefit our nation? I don't think any person with a shred of sanity can come up with a logical answer to how this declaration benefits our country.
He also goes on T.V. and openly laughs at us, saying only fools believe in racism or prejudice against whites. This is right out in the open, and I feel like only a few years ago this would be met with deafening criticism. Yet it just isn't there today. Their talons are now fully pierced into every facet of media. Some have seen this happening, caught glimpses of the takeover during previous years, yet were ridiculed as delusional. Even here on /pol/, before the shills arrived.

Well now we all know there is no delusion. A complete takeover has taken place. It's 1983 and next year will be 1984. We stand on the prescipice of a terrible event or series of events. Everyone who isn't numbed by their conditioning can feel this.

I was far more afraid of being blown up by the reds twenty years ago than some whiny politicians. If Obama was really that powerful, then wouldn't he have exercised it by now? Transgender bathrooms are entirely meaningless, if you should be worried about anything then it's rampant surveillance.

I'm not even saying your fears are unfounded, but you really should provide some better evidence for a 1984 scenario first before suggesting something like that
