Precision guided conventional munitions delivered by intercontinental ballistic missile.
Awesome weapon, or awesome way to start world war three?
There are two problems.
ICBMs cost tens of millions of dollars per unit.
ICBM launches are a rather big deal.
Retarded
"Let's spend fucktarded amounts of money to deliver a small amount of conventional explosives"
Protip, the reason we use nukes on ICBMs is the yield/payload ratio for them is much larger

its awesome, but impractical. most cool weapons are
for what reason would you need to suddenly bomb a foreign location?
if you have operations in the area there's going or should be air support nearby
or artillery, or a missile ship
all of which probably cost less to use than an ICBM
also, how are other countries to know you're not sending off a nuclear ICBM?
So maybe it's just me but i have always wondered why more lever actions are not made in large full lenght ruffle calibers. Consider the possibilities for long distance shooting. You could cycle the action without losing your sight picture. I have to admit that I got this idea from fallout Nv but have put some serious thought into this. I know that there is a limit to what a lever can cycle but the browning blr is in .30-06 and .30-06 is not to far from .338 lapua when it comes to over all length. So why not? Its not like .30-06, .308, or .338 LM are not capable of hitting...

Most lever mechanisms swing forward too far to allow box mags and nobody really wants an entirely new design when you could go semi-auto for about the same weight, greater flexibility, etc.
>>30505586
True but for ban states such as CA and MD we are not allowed most large caliber semi-auto firearms. most things that begin with AR, or AK are banned.

Because the gun would be fucking huge, fucking heavy, and your lockup would have to be completely changed, AND you'd have a fuckhuge receiver
it would no longer be a useful gun

Once, my right ear rang for a week and a half after a concert. Even though it stopped ringing, I notice that the ringing comes back intermittently for about a day after a day at the range (using both plugs and cans)

Are there any active gun rights groups that conduct public events like protests in California? If not we should make one. I'm done sitting around bitching about this stuff, our voices aren't being heard and voting alone isn't enough anymore.

Don't derail my thread niggers, let's make this constructive.

I made more progress in learning things just by talking to a guy who is retired but still does part time at the store then any other shitpost in such mall ninja forums. I can tell you now that such groups will never make an impact and it is just better to fit in somewhere else by not taking any baggage with you, unlike like everyone else that moved to Texas.

Whilst it is much discussed about the Pacific side of the Japanese in WW2, I think we could talk about Japan's campaing in China.
What does /k/ think about it? How was the campaing in Manchuria? What about core China? How fucked up was the army when faced with Chinese guerillas? What could have been done for better results to be achieved?
It's just not very interesting.
>Jap kills Chink
>Jap gets tired of killing Chinks
>repeat
It was a pretty miserable campaign for both sides. Japan was actually stuck in a quagmire, bogging down 1 million + men in some pretty heavy fighting. They had taken upwards of 500,000 casualties in China even before bombing pearl harbor and opening up a 2nd front for them.
China for its part couldn't throw out the Japanese and was just trying to outlast them, enduring huge atrocities against civilians and enormous losses along the way.
It was also the most old-fashioned front of WW2. Cavalry, long infantry marches, and classic artillery dominated the fighting...

Manchuria went well for the Jap's actually, it was when they advanced further into China proper that they were met with resistance in abundance.
Of course, they met more resistance with more brutality. I can't begin to describe what they did... Nanking being the worst case IMO

I'm honestly depressed over the future of gun rights. It doesn't seem like they'll ever be back at their glory.
It's depressing people even consider these options
>>30504512
If you look at it a certain way, things took a sharp dip in '86 with the machine gun ban, but have climbed back up nationwide as concealed carry permits have mushroomed over the past decade.
The handful of states that never really appreciated Freedom got worse, while the 45 or so other states expanded gun rights.
what's the problem with better mental healthcare? Even if there wasn't mass amount of shootings by mentally unstable individuals, we still need better understanding on mental health. We're a step from electroshock and lobotomy, sure, but we still need a bigger driving focus on the whole field anyways..

Costs them about $20 to make it.
There isn't a catch, really. When you buy it, just be sure to replace the sight screws with American ones. The ones that come with it are kind of soft metal
That's the only really downside.

>>30503783
Can't normally roll crimp Lee slugs.
>>30504163
Why not, are they too long?
>>30504298
Lee designed their slugs to be used with a standard shot cup and star crimp.
They are skinny with a round nose. The roll does not even contact the slug. You would need a fairly sturdy overshot card to hold it together.
