Hey /k/ just bought my first rifle and handgun. What do I need to keep up with proper cleaning. I can't decide what to buy and kind of unsure. I would prefer to purchase something that includes stuff for various firearms.

Boretech or KG will clean the best with little work and no damage to your guns, some KG stuff needs to be cleaned with gloves tho, also for oil motor oil works fine for lubing but for rust resistance clp is a decent oil, tetra for grease, also eezox or corrosionx for storing guns , you will need special jags but its all worth it for super clean guns, or you can try electrolysis

Hello /k/, Germany there. Wanted to buy my first EDC knife. Which are best, need it for everyday-stuff and protecting myself from rayfoogees. I did boxing for six years, but I'm afraid it's not enough anymore. And it's shouldn't bee too expensive, if possible <60€.
I've owned an M16, and it was good, but not great. The folding mechanism got loose and sloppy after a year or so, and my retarded friends (lived in a frat house) always picked it up off my desk to play with it and couldn't figure out the secondary lock, so they just forced it closed and fucked it up, you can take it out and it still works just fine though
I've since moved on to a Kershaw leek, and its my favorite knife I've owned so far (not that I've had a huge amount)

afaik the german knife laws for carrying are like this:
-a folding knife can either be one hand opening or locking, not both
-fixed blade limited to 11(?) cm
-auto knives limited to 7(?) cm
-no ballisongs or otf knives (can't even own them)
Not a big chance of getting caught with it unless someone would be going around swinging and showing it off. Or it's just been used stabbing 4-5 guys

How are rail guns supposed to function as effective fire support, exactly?
They're a big gun for you, sure.
Thing is, they fire solid shot really fast, which is good for penetrating stuff (e.g. the ground) but not really great for air bursting or hitting mobile targets or generating any sort of significant over-pressure or shrapnel.
Are naval railguns destined to be #12731 on the list of useless MIC welfare projects or do they expect to find some way of attaching payloads and terminal guidance to rail gun rounds in the future?

Yes.
The idea for air-burst/area attack is that a solid slug can be replace with a flechette canister. Think of an airfield or formation being showered with thousands of hypersonic darts. Not a good day for anyone on that end.
Something that people seem to not be able to understand (To the point of madness) is that like all other electronic devices, the amount of energy used in its process (magnetic acceleration) can be changed. This allows for the use of many types of different ammunition independent of any G-force restrictions.

How the FUCK did anyone convince soldiers to physically engage and fight each other brutally when this was a major style of warfare? Even something like WW1 seems impersonal and easy compared to two masses of men engaging face to face and hacking away at each other with steel. Furthermore, especially how the FUCK did anyone convince anyone who wasn't outright suicidal to assault the walls first in a siege? Even a tiny leak would show up. You want have to completely encapsulate yourself in thermal shielding and even then it wont work forever as eventually the shielding will heat up too.

I'm in the military and I had a drinking incident. My command made me go to an intensive out patient treatment thing. I haven't drank in a year because it's not worth the trouble.
Will that show up on a background check when I go to buy a gun or a permit for buying a gun?
The thing was just a two week alcohol is bad class. It was done on base by military personnel.
