we are looking for graphic designers m8
Hello guys,
i´m working on a Logo for our company.
Our company does much with nature and we are trying to restore and support natural resources.
This way i tought a spiral (infinity), with foliages on it and a result as sun could be a good logo for our company.
We use two options, with the full text and just with the S in the middle and without the text.
Does anyone of you have some imrpovement tipps for the logo i made ?
>>245135
Simplify
Change the font for a modern one
Remove the crap around the 'S'
Make the spiral thinner and the leaves thicker
Try a different version without gradients
Make it black and white add the colors at the end
Look for a better balance of the positive-negative space and try different x-heights
Please change that font!! Hurts my eyes.

Please change that font!! Hurts my eyes.
I made a logo for myself, mainly out of boredom and need of practise. Give it to me straight guys.
Another version without the gradient
Too stuffed . Nice color choices on the second one . Try to make the scorpion a little less detailed , imo , because i hardly could see it has ZA in there .
>>245372
Yeah you're right I got a bit carried away, I'll simplify it. Not a huge fan of the ZA myself but it had to make sense with the font for the Cs.
/tv/ here.
Which of these cards is objectively the best?
>>245218
Paul ALLEN's one, you know it, patrick know it, we all know it.
>>245218
How do these clowns print the company logo in any goddamn font they choose. No consistency in branding, 0/10
Personally I like Bateman's card the best. Fine ass letterpress action going on in there.
>>245218
its even got a watermark.

Pic isn't mine FYI
Hello /gd/, I've been working on a hotel website, this is a page about rooms. I would like to know what you think about it and what should I improve, because there is always a room for improvement, first time posting here.
Short guide and my reasonings. Headers with a medium-short height contain parallax images of room examples (at the moment those are just placeholders, I'm not satisfied with the photos that much honestly), and a button for reservation, rather simple. White div's show some information about the room (the info was already there as this...

One more thing, I have a problem with color representation on my laptop monitor and now I see it on my phone screen. Grays will definitely be lighter and the brown should be somewhat less orange, oh well, I will fix it asap. Yes, I have pure white and pure black backgrounds and am aware that is not a good thing, but is it really that big of a problem or should I change it a little like rgb(10,10,10) and rgb(250,250,250)?
I would make the "sleeps" part flush right and the "avg room size" flush left to align itself toward the body content instead of away from the body content. I would also make the sleep/avg room size part a font weight bolder than it is now, because on the black it's going to be a legibility problem. good use of dark grey instead of pure black. I personally don't prefer parallax, but as an alternative suggestion, maybe the bottom right corner of each snippet image could have a full-screen button that blows up the image into a lightbox. that helps...

Thanks for the reply.
I changed a few things so let's see what we got now, I'll post a mobile version of this in a post below.

Like this? What do you think? I tried with different wordings on room size because when it is the longest version it looks kinda bad, not simmetric. This is...

Trying to make a dot pattern image of the moon.
But I don't want to use the halftone pattern filter:
I want the dots to be equally sized but represent different lightness by having varied density.
I figure one way would be to to posterize the image to have, say 3 or 4 shades of gray.
Then copying each shade to a different layer one could use them as filter and fill the entire layer with a pattern of dots, equal in size but differently spaced.
Not sure how I would accomplish the last step, and it would leave half dots along the edges.
I'd also rather have it done more dynamically, so instead of having 3 densities I would like it to vary across the picture.

Could you suggest a good method?
I've got some pretty shitty social skills so I'd like to freelance online exclusively. How did you find your online clientele? Are there many people here who do that, or do you guys just go out and network to find work? Feel free to post your opinions on the matter.

less shitty version of the wallpaper

Nope, took longer than 30 seconds to load.

I'm not a fan of the website design. I'd put their student's work upfront and let that speak for them.
I just started a new job today as a designer for a large porn studio here in San Francisco. I'm tasked with updating the look of the website, as well as ebooks, DVD covers, video links etc.
I need your help; we all know graphics beyond a logo aren't porn companies' highest priority, take a look at pretty much any porno DVD cover ever. What sorts of things would help you enjoy visiting a porn site's official page more pleasant or DVD covers more enticing? Standardized sections for the actors credits? More thumbnails, less thumbnails? I've never...

Cool. Get the job at the Armory?
I personally love minimalism and thin red lines on black.
I really like it when the logos and titles are covered in poorly-Photoshopped semen. More of that would be great, please.
Focus on the girls, that's what most of the guys care about.
For the DVD's Minimize all the crazy text. Simple clean text and good looking women. Let the photographer do most of the work. Not sure about the site, depends if they want aesthetics or functionality. Make sure you emphasize the money making aspect of the company prominently enough, the premium membership button a different color int he nav menu for example.

Read the faq and searched catalog for a critique general, but couldn't find one.
I'm starting a business and I'm playing around with some design ideas for my logo or letter head.
Three colours I'm using is a light maroon, white and black. I'd like the design to work on white or black backgrounds, but I also want to have the capability to add it to other coloured backgrounds using a rectangular box.
The font is Cardiff by Roger White and is allegedly inspired by Times New Roman. I looked at them closely side by side and there does...

It's a software development company that is currently working on android/iphone apps. Looking to expand to PC indi games in the future.
The font is too sharp for a software company. Find something more minimalistic.
Did this using Photoshop, I certainly would achieve better results and smoother edges using another software, but I wanted to test a concept and then receive feedback on it.
This one is another test.
no, smoother edges bad, it looks cooler with not smoother edge
Want to let us know how u made this

like a lot of other times, we're making "minimalistic" album covers.
That being said, a lot of what's posted doesn't exactly the definition of "minimalism" (I posted a few and I'll admit some of mine are way too detailed).
So,

I really don't know much about minimalism, but what I think it is, is that it's about refining an idea down to what it is.
I also made this for the thread pretty quickly.

You just painted over the letters, didn't you? The gradient is too perfect for you to have just made it up now.
>After Effects CC 2015
>Composition: 4:3 // 1400 x 1050 // 24fps // 0:00:10:00
Several objects are laid out in my composition.
I want them to appear (sliding & fading in) separately, with a delay (one after the other).
What I have so far:
>1. Create 'Adjustment Layer' (rename: 'anim').
>2. Add 'Slider' (rename: 'posMod') from the 'Effects & Presets' panel to 'anim'.Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Still couldn't manage to find out how to do this, so I ended up keyframing everything manually.
This is what I was working on.
The question, however, remains because I imagine there are a few other UI designers here who wish to illustrate how their designs look in action without having to write HTML / CSS / JS code.
I'm guessing you want to do this for learning purposes because you are overcomplicating the whole thing. I work with AE for a living and using expressions I'm not familiar with always results in making things harder.
Easiest way I can think of doing this is the following:
>create square shape
>keyframe Y coordinate and opacity
>duplicate shape twice and apply a fill to the duplicates in order to have different colors
>change the X position...

make the animation slower, it will look better.
just select all keyframes, hold ALT and drag the last one a little bit to the right
Has anyone experience with 2d software/animation?

Yes OP, /gd//gd/ here. What seems to be the problem.
Do you need it animated in a software ( program/app ) or just to make it animated as a video ?
If you need it for a software need more info with what you work on if it's just video try adobe after effects
After Effects for pretty much any hardcore stuff
Flash for traditional animation
