Adventure story about 2 lizard kids in the desert getting roped into saving the world from robot apes. I've talked about it here before, but I finally have something to show for it.

I outlined the entire thing last year and starting writing it seriously a few weeks ago.

The two MC's are the aforementioned lizard kids. A boy and a girl around 11-13 years old. The girl, Adelia, was how I wanted to be (jockish, easy-going, wouldn't take shit). The boy, Zaahir, was how I actually acted (awkward, fumbling, overly emotional).

Main villain is the High Chief of the race of super advanced apes that rule over most of the world. He started off thinking he was helping people and protecting them, but over time just embraced how evil it was and enjoys it on that level.
>What is the setting?
A fantasy world almost exactly like ours in structure, but with monster people instead of humans in our civilizations.
>Any other thing you are writing?
I AM writing a much shorter story that I plan of finishing first, but that one is still early on.
