Clearly know nothing about Doomsday as he is literally just a monster who's purpose is to punch things. Death of Superman is a convoluted and shitty storyline so be thankful they aren't adapting it. Also his character is built on the idea of change and its been reported he will grow the classic "spikes" as the battle goes on

Lex is a manipulative asshole. His goofy public persona (and hair) is nothing but a facade. People underestimate him until its too late. Already more threatening than any of the on-screen Lexs we've seen - be thankful that his plan doesn't involve land development

Watchmen had to introduce an entire group of characters, their backstories, the complex world and history of the world they inhabit and various complex themes and ideas. X-Men had to do practically the same. Everyone knows who Batman and Superman are, Wondy has a role similar to Black Widow in IM2, and the villain is Lex whose creation Doomsday is just an excuse for the team to unite
The trailer, while oddly edited, served its purpose - its meant for general audiences who may have been turned off by the more dark and cinematic look of the previous trailers and prefer something a bit lighter and more fast paced
Apart from some unfinished CG, the movie still looks fucking great.
