I'm pretty hyped for this Black Panther honestly. Not only do I have good faith in the Russos perfectly executing his fighting style, just based on their style I know they're basing him mostly on Priest's Black Panther, which we all know is the best modern iteration of the character. Martin Freeman being Everett Ross is a sure sign of that as well.
This story is just the perfect set up to introduce who Black Panther is to people without having to drudge through an origin story. We'll get to see Black Panther at the fullest realization of his character, on a high profile visit to America as a political ambassador in the pursuit of dealing with a pervasive geopolitical conflict that has forced Wakanda into a tangled web with the other nations of the world, with T'Challa having to balance his personal desires with fulfilling his responsibilities to his people as their leader and representative. They also did a great job with his suit and making it look wholly distinct from Batman.
Black Panther is one of my favorite Marvel heroes, and he's seriously so often poorly written or under utilized. I want to believe Marvel won't mess him up, but they have an iffy track record. I have a good feeling he'll be done well in Civil War, but beyond that I'm unsure. They're comments about not getting Wakanda are disconcerting. Wakanda should be something they're excited about showing the world, not something they think is an obstacle. Not to mention that he's the least compatible hero they've put out yet wuth meta ironic sarcasm and jokes. Do you think they'll do T'Challa properly in the end?
>>80548722
Priest's run started out great, then devolved into total shit. Still probably the best modern run, but that's because there's never been a good modern run
>>80548777
That's a common problem with most comic runs, as they don't allow for a definitive end like stand alone graphic novel type stories. At best, they can return to the status quo with a renewed vitality, with the next story just starting over from square one.
Black Panther was at his best in my opinion, in Jungle Action where Wakanda was allowed to be it's own all encompass setting in and of itself with it's own full cast of characters, heroes, villains and everyone in between.
I'm still yearning for the Black Panther run that includes all of the fictional warrior kings of Marvel, Black Panther, Dr. Doom, Namor and Black Bolt, and puts them together in a wide scale story of geopolitical intrigue and super powered machiavellism
On the flip side though, I'm also deeply concerned with how this movie will portray Baron Zemo, who's easily among my favorite comic book villains, Marvel or DC. Marvel has had a shaky record with their heroes, but I think they've had an abysmal record with their villains. Their Loki is inconsistent and adolescent, and I'm still very salty about the direction they went with Ronan the Accuser. Such a waste of a great, nuanced character.
I honestly have no faith in them pulling Zemo off in a satisfying way. I feel like we'll be lucky if he even gets his sword, let alone his full ensemble

here we go
It's what they do, you know?
They get you all hyped up with Ben Affleck as Batman, and you start hearing him say stuff like these movies are gonna have the biggest reveal since Empire Strikes Back, and you're just thinking, "What could he mean? Aren't these all based on comic books?"
Then they cast Jared Leto as The Joker and you get all hyped up even more, because he's a great actor and he seems enthusiastic, then they release that first picture of The Joker, and you think "Doesn't really look like any Joker I've seen, but I'll give it a shot."
Now it's July and you see that dead Robin suit in Batman V Superman makes you think "Oh I guess Joker and Batman already have a history together." But someone points out that the Robin suit has bullet holes in the same places as Jared Leto's Joker, and you start wondering, "Huh, did he steal the suit after he killed Jason? What gives?"
Then it all clicks.
I thought this meme was dead.

Sounds good to me, but fanboys will sperg out like you've never seen if this is true. The mandarin thing will seem like nothing in the face of this autism tsunami
>>80548467
Yeah, didn't everyone accept it and move on after the toys came out?
I haven't seen much talk about Spidey's costume in the upcoming CW movie. Any predictions/hopes you'd like to make pertaining to its design?
>Spider-Man will have two costumes in the film
>The hoodie could or could not be the legit costume
>>80548019
What's going to happen:
>Shitty homemade costume for the majority of the film
>real costume only shows up at the very end, like maybe even just as a post-credits thing
>>80548019
There was one rumor floating around about a bystander catching a glimpse while CW was being filmed, It's basically a mix of the two amazing costumes and reflective eyes, I think
>>80548019
I actually wouldnt mind something like the Superior costume, bug eyes, web pits of course.
What went wrong? Remember when straight people in cartoons existed? Now it's all full of homos
I heard Pearl was some sort of slave thing.
Either way, that shit looks very gay.
This is actually showing a good message to kids cause look where pearl is now for being gay. She got upstaged by a straight white cis male and is now in a deep depression slaving over a superior white fat male.
So bascially dont be gay and you'll be happy.

and not of them is as big a faggot as OP.
The "Silver Age" of Disney is generally considered to be from 1950's Cinderella (the first full animated feature film that wasn't a package released since the start of WWII), to 1967's Jungle Book (the last movie Walt had a real hand in, due to his death in 1966).
What are your thoughts on these movies? Are they the best of the bunch? I recall many of them didn't do as well at first release, but of course now they're considered big classics. Do they still hold up? Were they an improvement or a downgrade compared to the Golden Age? Are they enjoyable? Would they still be popular if they were released today? What do you like or dislike about them? Let's discuss.
They're my favorite era personally. They released long before I was born, but I just find them really charming, even compared to the Renaissance. Alice in Wonderland will always be my favorite from the great visuals and music, and all the characters and settings. Peter Pan is also a classic, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella are great fairy tales, and Lady and the Tramp is the best love story of the Canon.
They're ok, but in terms of story they don't hold a candle to the newer films. Also the sketchyness of the Xerox films hasn't aged well at all, it just looks sloppy nowadays.
Alice in Wonderland gave me my size-change fetish. I don't know if I should love it or hate it for that.
Can someone explain this episode to me? It's literally too deep for me.
At least of wasn't just me, I didn't understand any of it
>>80545951
This, it made no sense to me either on first viewing. Like if I can't grasp it, how do children grasp it? Why does Adventure Time keep doing this shit?
>>80545951
Finn gets stuck in a time loop. The only way he can escape is by leaving everything--friends, family, clothing, humanity--behind him and moving forward.
Symbolically, it represents growing up and maturing.
But mostly, it was psychological horror. The episode was 11 minutes long but Finn was stuck in that room and with his eyes closed FOR YEARS. It was Groundhog's Day plus torture.

I'm scared.
This show was awesome on Boomerang, where did it all go wrong?

Money...
Some of those cats had some mighty fine tits. Thats all I can say.
Why did The Boondocks had such good Animation? It was just a Comedy Show no an Action Cartoon so why? Plus it was based on a Strip about Black people. Why did it received so much Budget???
>>80545797
People who worked on Korra and Thundercats were behind it.
It is REALLY impressive.
Napoleon Dynamite has the same kind of animation right?
>>80545842
It has?
I don't know why, but I'm glad it turned out that way.
Do you consider Comedy Central to be a good Channel??? The only Decent Cartoon in this Network is South Park.

Get a load of this literal cuckold.
Ugly Americans was good.
And then it got canned because of Daniel Tosh.
>>80545538
When you say it got canned because of Tosh, do you mean because of Tosh.0 or because of Brickleberry?
People are getting upset about Agents of SHIELD never getting referenced by the movies. They have a completely one-sided relationship, with SHIELD picking up any scraps they can to seem relevant to the movies (Coulson being the Avenger's source of intel on HYDRA and being the source of the Helicarrier).
I think the problem with AoS is the scale, or lack of.
SHIELD is supposed to be the connecting glue of the MCU. They are supposed to be the ones who show up when a new Avenger appears and when a new villian threatens to take over the world.
Only AoS can't do they. They lack the budget. You can't have big budget actors appear in each episode or Hollywood-tier effects.
Plus, now they are trying to portray the Inhumans situation as a global, world-changing catastrophe. Maybe even bigger than the Battle of New York. But none of the movies are referencing it. Not even the other shows are referencing it. The whole Winter Solider crossover event wasn't the result of well planning, the writers had to completely change the premise of their show because the movies called for the fall of SHIELD.
I don't think connecting the movies and TV shows are inheritantly bad like the rest of /co/ does. But I think they should be on the scale of Daredevil or Jessica Jones. More personal stories that occur on a smaller scale. Or, in the case of Agent Carter, weaving together established events.
SHIELD had a flawed premise to begin with. They could've had their cake and eaten it too had they just made the show a Secret Warriors show from the start. The premise of the show should've been written with the idea of "small-scale" in mind.
>>80545246
Introducing Inhumans, at least on the large scale they did, was a mistake.
Unless they could've worked something out with Marvel Studios from the start to at least put a throwaway reference in the films from the start, they should have never tried to go large scale.
people who complain about this are reddit tier idiots.
it's so obvious that it's not as simple as asking fuckin chris evans to pop on by the set and just "be" in the show for an episode.
contracts, money and all that shit is obviously the reason they don't do it.
>b-b-b-b-but HURR DURR NICK FURY
fuck off
i do wish the netflix stuff did cross over though. i don't think less of them for not doing it but at least they can act unlike half the fuckin cast of AoS.
would be cool shit.
fuck you clark gregg. kill yourself
>>80545246
Scale has always been SHIELD's issue.
They are a TV show trying to be as impactful as the films on half the budget and 1/4 the audience in the shadow of a studio that ignores their existence.
How would you describe the average Harley Quinn fangirl?
