What's cooking, toots?
DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT.
Boy, are you corny! You act like a square at the fair, a goon from Saskatoon. You come on like a broken arm. You're a sad apple, a long hair, a corn husker. In other words, you don't send me. So bail out, brother.

What?
Have you ever thought about going to an Art School, work in the Animation Industry and eventually make your own Cartoon or Graphic Novel?
>>80514976
Yeah, but at the end of the day you really don't need to go to art school especially when schools have been shitty since the 60s.

I had a free 1 year animation class on Brazil and was them two weeks later caled to work on an animation studio...I had never draw anything digital before.
There is a HUGE lack of animation workers on Brazil and a extremelly high demand. Anyone can get a job.
I see all these jobless animators gringos and think that they would have a retrospectiva good salary here.

So if you guys were to recommend to me any comic movie of all time as the greatest, what would it be? (pic unrelated)

Steel, obviously

Man of Steel?
So, I'm trying to learn how to write comics. I read Denny o'neils book, but I'm still having trouble laying out a page and dialog and script structure. I'm still trying the Morrison method but I'm always unsatisfied with my layout. Does anybody here have recommendations, suggestions, advice?
>>80513038
Comic writer here.
I just saw how someone else formatted a comic script and I said "I like that" so I started formatting my scripts in the same exact way, except over time I did a few minor changes to it. I didn't read a book or anything, didn't need to.

Have you had anything published?
Not OP, but actually interested in this and have a question to add. How do you build good dialog and know what you want on the page so that there's a proper structure to it?

Know who’s actually the most excited about the upcoming Suicide Squad? Harley Quinn herself. When we talked to Margot Robbie about her upcoming new movie with Tina Fey and Martin Freeman, Whisky Tango Foxtrot, she shared some amazing Suicide Squad information. Like, the fact that she’s dying to see the movie herself. It actually sounds like we’re going to have to fight Robbie to get to the front of any ticket line for prime seats—for this one, and its possible sequel (!?).
And judging from our first-look at Harley Quinn in the movie, she’s going to win.Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

>MR: I was actually about to sign up for another project, and Warner Bros. heard that I was about to sign on to something else. Before I signed on, they quickly jumped in and said, “Before you do that, just consider this role, because you don’t want to miss this! You’d be right for it!” And I was like “Oh, ok, let me read the script.” And they were like, “There is no script!” And I was like, “Oookay who else is in it?” And they were like, “No one yet!” And I was like,...

Rebels too i guess
So how does one even get into Marvel comics? I've looked up several guides online but most of these suggest starting at events like Secret Wars or the Civil War. I read the first one (of the first of the 3? secret wars series) and as someone who has never read any comics apart from random issues when I was a teenager, I had no idea who a lot of the people were. And Kitty Pryde and that one dude were having a relationship? I had no idea. I feel like I'm missing a lot there. Should I just start reading the comics all the way from the 60s or 70s or whatever and read every...

You can do what I did and just dive the fuck in. Grab comics that look interesting and give em a try. At the end of the day continuity isn't all that important. Just get a feel for what kinds of stories you like.
>>80511541
It just seems like a lot of them do need some kind of background information. For example, I sort of know who Cyclops, Jean Grey, Wolverine, etc the most iconic Xmen are, I know Jean Grey turned into the Phoenix shit or whatever and almost killed everyone. But when I looked at the modern Xmen comics, it seems like Cyclops is some kind of a bad guy now and the Xavier school is now Jean Grey school or some shit and I have no idea how all of that happened. And it's difficult to find out just how far back I need...

For the Avengers, I would recommend Avengers Forever, but that might be throwing you in too deep to start depending on your knowledge of the characters. However, Busiek does a fine job of keeping the reader informed.
For the X-men just read anything from Claremont. He made the X-men into the icons they are today.
So has Nickelodeon found their new Spongebob? Because this show is on all the fucking time and getting so much fucking promotion. Does /co/ like it?I like it..
It's alright. Nothing special but better than 95% of what's currently airing on Nick
post the video of the black guy freaking out over the chipmunks singing
It's worse than cancer.
Also, I could have sworn that in one episode Theodore literally tips his fedora at a women and says "M'lady".
I'm jumping on the bandwagon. I'm starting an animation podcast. lord help me
Are you going to say what it's called, or are you afraid to open yourself up for our inevitable derision?

Was just gonna talk about samurai jack and all the different influences like Kurosawa and shit, and talk for dayz about the editing similarities to star wars

Tonight, on a very special thread for clone high...how would you do a 2nd season
Several Gandhi centric episodes to piss off the street shitters further.
>>80509936
>when I was younger I thought it was cancelled just because of ratings
>found out the real reason years later
I'm still mad.
Gandhi finds out that he is not really a clone of Gandhi, but an obscure historical figure, so he and the gang go on a road trip to find out about his real "Clonefather"
He was originally going to be a clone of Gary Coleman, but that might be a bit insensitive
