Alright, so we've discussed Superman. But how would a Green Lantern game play like?
>>80593369
Like this.
Like shit. The entire premise behind GL is that you use imagination to create what you want for the problem you face. Games just aren't at that level to create something good with that level of freedom yet. And lets face it, his stories aren't exactly translatable to vidya.
>>80593369
I want a RPG where you can fuck GLs.
what's your favorite example of a content creator mocking their fan base?

Well, I wasn't expecting that.
Has /co/ ever read Storm by Don Lawrence? Or at least heard of it? It's very pulp and pretty good.
>>80592279
I've read the first one. I'd love to get the collections.
Yes. It used to be published in a comics magazine here.
Always loved the art.
>>80592279
Fuck yes. I pretty much grew up on Lawrence's Storm and Trigan Empire series.
Awesome shit, but sometimes it gets a bit -too- pulpy for my taste, especially Storm.
I pulled all of this from wikipedia.

Seems like it might fit.

I love the design and animation in the new Powerpuff Girls. I can tell that Cartoon Network spent a fortune and brought in the world's greatest designers and animators.
>>80589232
I disagree with your take on the design and animation, but am sure your speculation about the designers and animators being expensive and better paid than those in other countries is accurate.
inb4 but the worst part
at least they're giving people a chance. imagine being a nobody flash animator and being given full control over one of the most beloved cartoon series of all time
even though they gave it to chumps, it was a good risk might have been good if it had been put into better hands
>"It's so great not to be bogged down in character development!"
>"Yeah, I think everyone can agree this is so much better!"

So um I was just wondering, how much does animation cost? Could I just ask an animator from each show to learn the rates and figure out what type of animation I want. How do I go about funding 1 or 2 episodes?
32.72 buckaroos an hour according to google
>>80587979
And that's per hour of work, not hour of animation produced.
1 minute of animation is gonna be a couple thousand dollars.
>>80587979
Jesus, Id live like a king on 10 bucks an hour, let alone being able to work doing what I like.
Maybe Koreans aren't underpaid, maybe American animators are overpaid
Just started watching this. Now for concentrated doses of autism.
Not sure how to explain this without sounding like a pretentious fedora, but this has to be one of the most philosophical and deepest cartoons.
If you look on the show normally you just see random shit and stuff the animators probably made on a whim, unless you interpret everything as a metaphor.
Xavier for instance is made out of random parts like a beak, snake arm, reversed legs and the like while going a quest to discover himself. You could interpret this as a metaphor for a person who is transforming....

I didn't read into what you said and I think you should follow suit and approach the show the same way.
It's a genius show made by stupid people.

Has /co/ ever played this or any other cape related tabletop game?
That's just a licensed version of Mutants and Masterminds, right?
I ran an M&M campaign for some friends, once. For some reason half the party wanted to play superpowered gun-toting Deathstroke types. One was a vampire, one could teleport, and one could turn invisible and hide during battles instead of ever participating.
The other half consisted of a shapeshifter made of hair, a GLTAS-style Red Lantern who was a cock, and a time-hopper concept that I actually really enjoyed coming up with.
