Who could beat DOOM in a rap battle?
>>81716278
Alright, I'll bite because I'm a big DOOM fan.
If you're talking about the rapper, most people probably haha. His stuff isn't inclined to freestyle and shit. He takes time to make his rhymes as weird and thoughtful as he can. He's fucking crazy, and rap is like medicine to him. Would rather take his time and enjoy than prove he's the fastest freestyler.
If you're talking about the Marvel villain, BE IT LEVELING CITIES OR STAGES, NOBODY CAN LAY DOWN THE WORK LIKE THE INFALLIBLE DOOM, MASTER OF THE WORD
>>81716278
I'D SURE HATE TO SEE THAT UGLY MUG OF YOURS IN MY HISTORY BOOK.
>>81717195
YOUR ATTEMPTS AT HUMOR BORE ME
We trigger /co/
Why would you be so mean spirited?
>Seth-Grahame Smith's THE FLASH will reportedly feature the Reverse-Flash as the main villain, but with a "new twist" to differentiate it from the popular TV show.
>>81715582
The twist is that it will be shit
>>81715582
Danny West incoming!
Will it be Barry, all along?
Oh that Cho
>>81715568
>Check your privilege true believer!
That's practically Marvel's new slogan.
>>81715568
Cho's leaning pretty heavily into the memes there
>As the writer of GREEN LANTERN: REBIRTH and THE FLASH: REBIRTH, the word “Rebirth” has come to mean something very important to me. It’s not a brand or a marketing tool; it never has been. To me “Rebirth” is about how to approach mythology – about how to honor and celebrate the characters and their respective universes and embrace the values they embody. It’s about the past, the present and most importantly the future.
>GREEN LANTERN: REBIRTH wasn’t only about the return of Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps. It was building on a great foundation with tales like “Sinestro Corps War” and “Blackest Night” – stories that challenged our heroes, redefined their villains and introduced new threats and adventures built on the core essence of the Green Lantern myth.
>And if we were going to do a “Rebirth” across the DC Universe, we needed to take a hard look at where it was now. And a -Rebirth” starts with bringing something back that’s been missing…
>For the DC Universe, it’s about more than just the heroes or villains we might not have seen in a while: it’s about the intrinsic values of what DC Comics and its universe stand for.
>That’s epic storytelling.
>That’s legacy and honoring the past, while moving it all to the future.
>That’s hope.
>In a world of digital cynicism and perhaps justified skepticism, I hope you’re surprised when you read the books.
>I hope you’ll feel the passion the creators have for the DC Universe within their pages.
>But my greatest hope is that all our readers—old and new, returning and die-hard—get a sense of the entire universe as one cohesive, living organism built on the greatest heroes and villains in the world, honoring what’s come before while looking to what will come tomorrow.
>“Rebirth” is the next chapter in the ongoing saga of the DC Universe, and I can’t wait for you to experience it.
That sounds fucking awesome, but do you get the feeling most of the new announced books arent living up to that.
>but do you get the feeling most of the new announced books arent living up to that.
For fuck's sake they haven't even released a single issue. Can we at least wait until June to shitpost about how terrible they are?
>>81715408
I loved the idea of a whole line built on that 2006-2009 include and transcend style would be awesome, but this honestly just feels like random new runs without any kind of grand vision.
Anyone else notice this?
>>81715493
I am not shitposting about how bad they are, just that Johns crafted this amazing vision and the books show nothing that follows through on that.
A Green Lantern Rebirth but for everyone sounds fucking awesome. We dont seem to be getting that
>it's a "girls seduce the boys and make them explode" episode
>Strong female character is introduced
>Her display of how cool she is is some MAN cat calling her and she flips him over a table
>>81715401
The new Powerpuff Girls looks horrible. And of course they're doing some SJW bullshit.
>>81715401I wanna explode inside them.
I stopped reading DC. What am I missing?
>>81715368
Well we'd have to know when you stopped.
What was last event you remember?
Convergence?
Flashpoint?
Brightest Day?
Final Crisis?
Zero Hour?
Crisis of Infinite Earths?
>>81715470
New 52, maybe 3 months in. JLA was the last straw, with that retarded firetruck.
As far as events, I don't really enjoy them, but the last thing I recall was thinking how much I hated Flashpoint.
just wait
Why hasn't Reboot gotten a reboot or a theatrical movie? I remember seeing rumors online a few years ago but they just stopped being mentioned..
Because no one uses the internet anymore.
>>81715367
>Why hasn't Reboot gotten a reboot or a theatrical movie?
Because it's perfect?
> I remember seeing rumors online a few years ago but they just stopped being mentioned..
Development hell. Where it will hopefully stay. Just like the Highlander remake.
>>81715588
let's hope so anyway. remember the rumors about the remake where it's KIDS going to mainframe, and the only returning character is megabyte?
Can somebody explain to me in a few sentences what the fuck is going on with the DC universe? Because I haven't read anything after Convergence, and I'm still trying to get the whole Morrison Multiversity thing.
Apparently after Convergence all Crise's have been established as canon, and all versions of all characters in ALL of the multiverses exist, including pre-flashpoint versions.
What the fuck is going on? Like what version is the current Superman? Pre-flashpoint or post-Flashpoint?
DC sucks
>>81715048
both
>>81715134
So is the new-52 Superman overhauled?
I really don't understand.
Craig McCracken is responsible for
- The Powerpuff Girls
- Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends
- Wander Over Yonder
Is his work getting better or getting worse?
>>81714579
That pic makes me feel worse for him.
It he still gets to bang Faust so that's a still a plus 2bh.
TPG > WOY > FHfIF
>>81714579
>his work
the good aspects of PPG were pretty much all genndy's doing. maybe faust's
Which one /co/?
Right.
I'm a hips and ass man before anything else.
>>81714190
Neither because I'm attracted to real women.
From about 2004-2006, Disney pretty much completely sucked. Home on the Range and Chicken Little are widely considered some of (if not THE) worst movies Disney's ever made, Even Pixar hit the slump as well with Cars in 2006, though this may be more of an anomaly since the movies before and after it (2004's Incredibles and 2007's Ratatouille) were actually good.
Why do you think this happened? What lead to such a steep drop in quality? And what do you think helped bring them out of this slump? Or did you actually enjoy any of the films made around this time? If so, why?
I think it was because Dreamworks was starting to deal well with its shitty lowest common denominator stuff, and Disney decided they'd try to jump on that train. Chicken Little definitely feels more like a Dreamworks movie than a Disney movie, at least.
Home on the Range I thought was intentionally shitty as an excuse to kill off 2D, but then that doesn't explain Chicken Little being 500 times worse.
I guess they thought that audience tastes at the time were so shit that something like chicken little is what they actually wanted. Did the movie even flop, or was it actually a success?
Filming began today. Is there any hope left?

>Iris West confirmed to appear. Reportedly they're still casting her, but some sources claimed Imogen Gay Poots had already nabbed the role.
>Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons and Joe Morton expected to show up again as Perry White, Alfred Pennyworth and Silas Stone.
>Lex Luthor is not in it in a significant way, at least.
>Viola Davis might have a small role as Amanda Waller.
>Darkseid reportedly the main villain, though rumors from El Mayimbe claim the antagonists would be an invasion from Atlantis.
>Reportedly "lighter" than MAN OF STEEL and BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE. Flash is the comedy relief.
>Movie is a SEVEN SAMURAIS-esque story of Batman assembling the Justice League to fight a looming evil. Batman is definitely the leader.
>Aquaman and Wonder Woman don't get along due to a centuries-old feud between Atlantis and Themyscira, and Aquaman also doesn't like Batman.
>Flash and Cyborg, as the youngest and least experienced members of the team, become fast friends.
>Release date is November 17, 2017.
>no press release
Might've got delayed in private
>>81713534
>Filmography by Fabian Wagner, who has mostly done TV shows, like GAME OF THRONES.
>Not even having that based Larry Fong cinematography
Oh, that's upsetting.
>>81713836
Fabian Wagner was the cinematographer for one of the best Game of Thrones episodes, Hardhome.
Which is the only thing i can say about him, should be Larry Fong, always.

>>81713554
I ain't giving up too easily just yet.
Bring up a mover/shaker in the biz, share your thoughts, your favorites of theirs, least favorites, see what others have to say.
I'll start:
I liked Infinite Crisis and whenever he touches a solosave for Baz, think I dropped around that time. Never got into it, but as I understand his JL stuff was awful. Why was?
Can't get into him. It seems like action figures being smashed together. Every plot beat and cliffhanger is a character or army of characters sneaking up on another saying something epic in a colorful voice bubble.
>>81713529
It's comics, dude.
Super heroes, no less.DO YOU HATE FUN?
Johns writes comics for an older generation of readers.
If you're young, you'll miss half of his references and approach to heroes.
