>The shot of BATMAN leaping off of a building looks fun - and I'm hearing he's in this film quite a bit more than we're expecting, so that's fantastic to me, as Affleck was the best thing about BATMAN V SUPERMAN for me, at least.
tfw Batfleck will be come the Hugh Jackman/Wolverine for the DCCU
tfw i am ok with that.
almost forgot
>tfw this movie is basically a live action Assault on Arkham

...no it's not.
SS chillin at the bar. Batfleck swoops down and snaps every neck in the room
I feel like Disney's recent burst of movies are some of the best they've done, even better than their Renaissance era (With a couple of exceptions). Even though films like Tarzan are fantastic, their "comedy moments" with the girl Gorilla and Elephant weigh down the film. Same with the talking furniture in Beauty & the Beast, or Timon and Pumbaa. Any moment when we cut away from the story to see hi-jinx with the comedy relief was always their biggest flaw.
I feel like they've managed to eliminate that for the most part because films like Zootopia,...

>le Disney was good after the 60s meme
No but seriously, I agree with you that newer Disney films have a more consistent tone than those in their Renaissance era. The comedy moments in films like Lion King and Beauty and the Beast are some of the worst attempts at cartoon humour ever.
I still don't think that Zootopia, Big Hero 6, Wreck It Ralph or Tangled were any good though
>>81697953
I think that might have something to do with making the comedy relief more of an actual character. Maximus serves as both comic relief and as a character who moves the story along, whereas the dog in Pocahontas (whose name I don't remember, and probably for good reason) could be taken out and the story would still be the same.
The gargoyles could also be taken out of Hunchback, but you'd lose a bit of Quasimodo's characterization if you did that. Still, I wouldn't mind it if he only spoke...

I only really watch Tangled for the Rapunzel's feet. Flynn's alright though.

How do you introduced a reoccurring major character into your show after the first season without making a Poochie?
>>81697752
What are we defining a Poochie as in this case
Earth 2?

A radical dog who is too cool for school
Ok, /co/, what wentwrong?
I suppose nothing went wrong wit it.
the panda village
everything about the panda village
>>81697571
nothing really. It was a very solid movie. It just got outshined by the zootopia hype. And it's confirmed that production has started for panda 4 and that it, along with 2 more movies, are going to close the series.
My one complaint though is during kung fu panda we saw a lot of romantic tension developing between po and tigress and it really didn't develop beyond them being "good friends" in the 3rd movie.
Holy shit she is prolific

Short answer? No.
>>81697067
Nah
Just marathoned this and I think it was the best animated superman film I've seen. Right up until the copout where superman goeslol my robot friends did it and the massive explosions and killing of everyone was all theatre.
Would have been ten times better if this was a bad end film or something where superman did actually kill them in a unhinged mental state and maybe seeing lois or something brings him back to normal.
So what should I think of this?
Film was alot of fun but it was also a mess to look at.
Also, Expy Jigen.
>>81697033
The art style an animation was leagues better than the majority of DCAU.
>>81696956
But the whole point of the superman robots is that Supes would never actually kill those people or the random bystanders, he was just making a point.
Had he actually done that shit and it was a bad end, the movie would have been a lot worse.
Hot chicks the movie
Its not quite Micheal bay but damn harley is basically pulling triple duty as eye candy, plot progression, and comic relief
Did you know Harley Quinn is a woman?
check this pan up to give you an amazing view of all her quirky tattoos
Hopefully this movie passes the Bechdel test, it has every reason to.
Just got done marathoning this. Season Five really seemed like it was going somewhere big and then it just... petered out. I feel cheated, in a way.
>>81696858
I felt the same way. It's like they had a genuinely hard-hitting message planned, but the corporate censors vetoed it and gave us some watered down, namby pamby coming-of-age shit.
>>81696858
I haven't watched it in a while what was happening to daria in season 5?
>>81698076
What do you mean what was happening to her?
Will we ever see this faggot appear in the larger DC universe, even as a reference?
Maybe as an easter egg as best.

>a hacky romance author is a better comics writer than 50% of Marvel's staff
I don't get it, why do we still have to put up with Marguerite Bennet and Dennis Hopeless when there's a vast field of prose writers out there that would suck dick for mainstream exposure? Hell, if Dan Abnett's any example, just hire a bunch of 40k novel writers.
