>mfw just ate ~900 calories worth of unsalted cashews
how are these things so high in calories? it doesn't even feel like I ate that much. I can easily tell when I eat a 900cal pizza or chinese or something cause I'm full after them, but the cashews didn't even remotely fill me up
nutritionists insist unsalted cashews are healthy and don't cause obesity etc, but 900 calories of anything can't be good
If you don't eat more calories than you burn then it doesn't really matter how many cashews you eat
fats are more calorie-dense than any other source of energy, and nuts are particularly laden with fats
Most nuts are around 50:50 fat and carbohydrates by weight. So look at a handful of nuts, and then imagine half a handful of pure lard. That's basically what you're eating.
Are there any decent frozen boneless wings? Ones that aren't these processed bullshit and are actually somewhat similar to what you get at B Dubs?
>boneless chicken wings
they're called chicken nuggets

b dubs boneless wings are shit, those are honestly probably better if you prepared them like someone who isn't a nigger
I'm in a bachelor house, this is what I have to work with. How do I make a non-soup item?
Shitty pasta pomodoro maybe.

add peanut butter - not soup

I once made poor persons pad thai with ramen and peanut butter. It was terrible.
Can we get a motherfucking chicken salad thread?
I made this earlier:
1lb boneless skinless breast
bring to boil covered with about 1" extra water, reduce heat to low and poach for 20 minutes, with crushed shallots, salt, pepper, thyme, minced garlic, oregano, cayenne pepper in the broth
let cool in broth, then chop into 1" chunks
the dressing:
1/2 cup smart balance mayo
2/3 diced braeburn apple
1tsp lemon juice
1/2tsp dijon mustard
1tsp sugar
pepper salt
I know it's not fancy or anything but it's easy, approachable,...

>>7178065
..yeah? apple is a really common component of chicken salad
>>7178065
I can back this up. It adds a delightful sweetness and crunch.
Also OP, you don't need the grapes. One fruit is enough. I would highly recommend the celery in the future however. It's sadly underrated.

YES
Bought some dirt-cheap noodles at the store.
They're allegedly meat-flavored.
What can I do to spice them up.
>>7176449
Add seasoning.

Things I do:
toss some frozen broccoli in while it boils
crack an egg into it during the last minute or so
drain and dump a small can of chicken in after its done
put some baby spinach in the bowl, which I then pour the broth and noodles over which will wilt the spinach
Its not gourmet or anything but it'll make an actual meal out of your ramen
I hate runny yolks in eggs. Am I cancer?
>>7175944
you might as well eat scrambled like the child you are.
Do you hate them even if you have toast to soak them up? If so, yes. Sorry, you're terminal.
Nobody gives a shit about what you do in the privacy of your own home.
Starting a thread about it is certainly cancer, though.

Is there any way to eat Indian street food with at least a minimum of hygiene? Like, if I go to india, can I try street food in a restaurant or something?
I've eaten in greasy spoons around the country, and in all kinds of messed up places, even in mexico, and South America, but pajeets -no matter how delicious their food looks- can't keep clean worth shit.

No. I've been to India (Jhansi, Utturpradesh, Agra, and New Delhi) and the first thing our local guide told me was to never ever try the street food. He literally said "if you eat any of the street food and the tap on your backside turns on, I cannot turn it off for you." Our guide only took us to places he knew wouldn't fuck up foreigners.
Some other guy I knew had the misfortune of drinking contaminated bottled water, and he uncontrollably shat himself on the bus. We had to stop by the roadside so he could empty his bowls.
Also malaria tablets for days.
Lets talk about country-based fast food chains.
If you're from the United States, please post fast food chains that only exist in the state you live.
I'll start with Sweden.

My knives are Swedish, and they're not the best, but they're okay for a beginner or students first set.
It was recommended to me that I keep them in good shape and maybe trade up in a few years.

My knives were forged in the USA.
They're amazing.
Aura knives are very beautiful and extremely well made.
Based Thai knives from Kiwi. They cost like $4. Don't hold an edge very long but they're massively easy to sharpen.

Can we get a cocktail general thread going?
I'll start: How do you like your martinis? I personally love olive juice & olive garnish in mine.
Martinis only look right in a old womans hand.
My go to cocktail recently has been crown and ginger
>>7181222
I'm a firm believer in the old "if it tastes good, it doesn't matter" ideology. If the look of the drink bothers you that much I guess you could pour it into a different glass. But changing what you drink based on what others might think of you is for frat boys.
