Hey guys, complete retard to cooking here, I was hoping you would help me with something, I'm trying to make some chocolate strawberry roses for my girlfriend for valentines, I'm following a recipe which i'll link at the end. The problem i'm having is that no matter what I do the chocolate always cracks when I try to fold it over the strawberry or roll it to make the rose shape, do any of you have a clue on what I could do to avoid this from happening? probably. different brands of chocolate have different percentages of cocoa butter which can greatly alter how it behaves in certain applications. or maybe you should use corn syrup instead of agave.

Is it just the place I'm going to or... the last couple times I got a Big Mac, the buns were like... not really soft and fluffy like they used to be. Anyone else experience this? The buns had no real texture to them.

The buns at McDonald's have always been shit. As a kid you don't notice because kids actually like squishy bread. But once you've had experience with good bread you realize what shit the buns at McDonald's really are.
Seriously, I cannot fathom why some people go fuckin crazy for raising canes. I can go to a half dozen or more fast food or sit down places and get the same quality or better tendies. There is nothing special about their chicken. Then to top it off these cane'a'nites just can't stop sopping up that retched sauce. It tastes like something my prepubescent self would mix together from random fucking condiments as a child and believe actually tasted good since I hadn't yet experienced virtually every other possible suace above shit-tier. It's basically mayonnaise...

Not a shill. I had it once, and never again after that. It's legitimately awful.
To further my point. In comparison I had the same thought about chipotle when it opened but prior to trying it. How great can it be to justify a restaurant just selling burritos (at the time) when you can get fast food Mexican elsewhere. Where chipotle revolutioned in there own way the market for that type of food, canes has not. It's subpar at best and therefore I don't understand how it's been so successful.

Hi everyone, I'm looking forward to dropping alcohol from my diet. However, I can't stand sweet or bland drinks, I need something with a punch, some bite.
What are your suggestions? I have heard about using angostura bitters and tonic water, both sound good to me. Nutmeg, ginger, pepper and some other stuff seem cool.
Anything else in your minds?
I know bitters contain alcohol, but since usually only a few drops are necessary, it's no big deal.
I've tried non-alcoholic beers, some are fine, but those are hard to find nearby....

Ever since I tried korean food, I havent visited the local Japanese places (except for the occasional Tonkotsu ramen) as often.
You there, if you have never stepped foot into a korean restaurant, do so when you can, especially if you like spicy food. Kimchi Jjigae, a spicy kimchi pork soup, is highly recommended.
