Oh man I love River Cottage and Hugh, so comfy. They show it in Australia, not in prime time on major channels though. It's my favorite cooking show. I don't like any American ones.

Okay, I've asked this before, but didn't get a response.
/ck/, is it normal for a cook to leave the tails on shrimp when cooking them for pasta, as in pic? It seems completely counter-intuitive and just makes the eater have to pull the tails off.
Am I missing something? Whenever I put shrimp in pasta, I always remove the tails. Is there some secret I'm missing?

Food hack thread? Food hack thread. Here's a good one I picked up, I call it tobacco syrup, it's surprisingly good on breakfast foods
1 Bag of Chewing Tobacco
2 glass jars/bottles (Plastic will work too)
a bandanna/handkerchief
NOTE: The chew cannot be a "Mild" or "Extra Smooth" or flavored kind. It should be regular chewing tobacco.
