are there other ways to put holes through domed resin pieces (as in just card/paper domed) other than a dremel? wondering if I'm going to have to invest in one straight a way
>>8970196
It depends on how thick it is. I'm assuming you mean to make a charm out of it? If its too thin you risk cracking it, If all else fails use bails.
I'm gonna dump some inspo from my reference folder
New Bodyline thread since last once is atuosaging

Have you see a really stupid sale on Facebook of lacemarket? I have and I'm sure you have too. Share your tales.

Yeah, this really is wtf.

I am convinced she's either high or thicker than a pair of bricks.
Im gonna be attending my first con soon with my bro. I dont know much about the culture and i only watch anime in my spare time for fun. I am a tall attractive black dude and i dont want to intimidate my nerd brethren. How do i blend in because im probably not gonna cosplay.
Just go there and it will be fine
Not everyone cosplays. No one will care about you or pay attention to you outside your circle of friends. It's like going to any event or festival, no one will be intimidated by you unless you slam some 5' 2" lolita up against the wall in a display of dominance.
>>8999914
Make a Naruto headband out of magic markers and hot glue. Once you place it on your head run with your arms behind your back everyone will immediately think you are a harmless weeaboo an no one will find you intimidating. (10/10)
Easily one of the comfiest cosplays for upcoming cons. Post good ones you've seen, ugly ones, and do you prefer certain body types for each of the matsus?
I'll begin dumping some stuff
I'm semi /fit/ and tan with strong brows and plan to do Kara
But how do people feel about this kind of hair as opposed to the bowlcuts?
Anyone here been to Anime Next? How was it?
it's an average con, nothing special but not terrible either. it's good as a 'first con' experience in the sense that it's not too overwhelming.
the people are most always chill and every time people say they're gonna go, it's usually just to meet new people or hang out with old friends.
so yeah, it's 'hang out' con with some small bonuses on the side cuz there's always the dealer's room and some times decent panels pop up.
>>8995174
it was good in somerset. now its drug and hooker con.
>>8995225
how so?

>All J-fash styles (lolita, mori, otome, gyaru, deco, etc.) are welcome!
>Cosplay is discouraged, because then it's basically fanart of your character.
>Please provide your best photos.
>Artists: it's not a bad idea to just sign your work
>Selfposters: When giving credit, it's a good idea to refer to the art as a freebie or commission, NOT fanart.
>Helpful critique is acceptable, insults and taunts are not.
>You should actually be wearing your coord, not "Draw me in X!"
>Have fun!
>Lolitas of Odin when?
bump pls there are artists waiting for u
If any draw anons are interested in Shironuri, I would love some art of my second attempt at it. I have close ups if you need them. Thank you!
Is there any way I can get more information on her fabrics? Like textile content and generally more in depth stuff? All I can seem to find is surface information like where to buy and whatnot. But I want to know about burn tests, stretch testing, and what makes it so different from other fabrics right down to its fibers.
Go to JoAnn's and check for yourself. They list fiber content on the bolt.
>>9000096
There is nothing that sets Yaya's fabric apart from any other specially fabric. It's suited for certain types of garments, but really Joann's just brought some differect kinds of fabric to an audience that has never seen half the stuff at better prices elsewhere.
Anyone going to this? It's a NJ first year con, hoping to capitalize on the graveyard of AnimeNEXT.
I just found out about this today. I'd feel pretty stupid not going considering it's like a 2 minute drive for me. None of the panels really interest me much, but the exhibitors and artist alley don't look terrible and it's not like I had anything better to do this weekend.
I'm going to go. AnimeNext has gotten bad and the move has made it crazy expensive.
Agreed I'm going since it's cheaper then AnimeNEXT
Let's have a thread about panels. What were the best or worst panels you've ever to? Also, what was the most interesting? Awkward panel stories are more than welcome.
I've been made panel coordinator for a small con this year, so it's my first time. I'm going to be hosting a few guest ones in particular so I'm rather nervous. Since it's a small con in a regional area the theme this year is "101" where we're going to be introducing various aspects of anime, gaming and cosplay to newcomers. I wonder if anyone would be so...

Don't be nervous on the mic. No one is really there to just heckle you, they're def there just to have a good time with people that like the stuff they like. Just remember to have fun honestly. Being a host is all about entertaining your crowd. Have some light banter, interact with them. Ask them questions about their favorite anime, game, cosplayer or whatever.
JUST HAVE A GOOD TIME.
I actually really enjoyed the "hentai worth watching" panel at AX last year. It was super easy to tell who was there because they wanted to laugh at some absurd porn and who was there to fap, so avoiding the later camp was a breeze. It was really the presenter's senses of humor that made the whole thing fun. The fact that they were all having a good time made it a worthwhile experience for me.

Thanks, kind anon!
In the previous thread >>8973389 we discussed out-of-place cosplay at Elfia, made some remarks on Abunai's new idiotic room policy, and discussed what makes someone a slooty attention whore. As always we also talked shit about a bunch of cosplayers who felt the need to defend themselves on /cgl/. As usual, I'd like to remind those people that you are all a bunch of fucking idiots for responding here, and instead of wasting your time here you should spend your time improving your cosplays and shitty personalities. Also there was some...

Thanks for pointing this out to me based Dutch Anon. Despite having created the previous three threads I still managed to fuck up.
Op I gotta commend you for the nice thread td;lr you make each time!
Keep up the good work
Since everybody should be back from Germany by now, did you guys enjoy Dokomi?
No Uchuu thread? I'll post what I have.
Share coords, inspiration, items you found, ect ect.
Maybe we could get some neat wig/hair styles in this time?
Who's going? What're you planning/working on right now? Any guests you're looking forward too? Guess this can double as a NC thread too.
aw, i used to go to animazement a long time ago! id love to be able to go again, but sadly live pretty far away now
This is my home con so I'm pretty chill with what I bring. I live close enough to the con center that I don't even need a hotel. Gonna be Sadie from Steven U as well as a secret cosplay I'm working on.
>>8859821
Same here, I plan on making this a pretty chill con to test run my new cosplays hopefully as I'm going to Colossal which is the next weekend.
