Has anyone any sewing patterns for similar short yukata's like pic related?

Please use the catalog, newfriend.
I'm not entirely certain if this is the right place (/tg/ denizen), but are there japanese people who are obsessed or greatly enjoy western culture in a manner similar to weaboos?
Eating nothing but hamburgers, having a confederate/union/nazi flag on the wall, wearing full plate in their downtime...
Or just, y'know, interested in western culture in a reasonable way.
They're called reverse weeaboos.

Trying to explain that you aren't a hippie.
Living in a big city and thus lack much forest to be mori in.

There is nothing about this that looks good.

Fucking harsh dude
I'm ignorant of cosplay and I have a question!
Why do outfits almost always look like their using material that you'd never actually use to make regular clothes?
pic related. It looks stiff as fuck and super bright. Like it's made out of carboard. Wigs are similar. They almost always look terrible imo. Why not just dye your hair that color instead?
they're*
This is because you're looking at cheap, shitty cosplays. You also seem to be looking at cheap, shitty wigs. Dying your hair to look like an anime character for a weekend is retarded, also.
Can you imagine the godawful condition of someone's hair who dyes their hair for every character they cosplay? What about length, unrealistic styling, and going from dark colors to light?
I'm guessing OP is no older than 14.
So, Festasia just announced it was canceled and again blamed everyone else but themselfs.
APC all over again?
What do you think really happened?
They deserved to be canceled.
No store wanted to go to the event, even with a 50% discount on booths, being 200 euros for a massive space. no partners because noone believed in them. And when they start looking down on everyone else like we are the ones who neeed events? yaeh right, you're the ones who need us, so go speak like your god to your diarys, because boohoo, noone cared about your stupid event.
They couldnt keep with their promises with some partners and they deserve this cancelation.
This event had everything to fail!
It was far from everything!
It was completely OVERRATED!
They had no partnerships worth being called by that!
They had no program!
It was "produced" by a company that was completely clueless about the market they were entering.
And the company's experience is to organize small meetings.
Like I said had everything to fail!
How about a good quality thread with animals cosplaying. They don't even have to be cosplaying an animal character, if you got top tier Meowrio and Luigi get to posting.
Bat cat?
posting what i have, since this board really needs more cosplay threads.
I was wondering, how do japanese citizens (all categories) view lolita? I know it's like here by the fact that some like it and think it's ok to be eccentric and some don't understand/don't like it/... or even hate on it, buti was wondering what kind of stereotypes they put on it. Like here in Europe if a girl dress all black at school, idiots are gonna assume she eats cockroaches, pray Satan and shit.
I heard at some point on a translated 2chan discussion that they viewed lolita like we view emos (cutters), i also saw somewhere that lolitas were seen as...

Its still weird there too by majority. Japanese arent too vocal about what they think in real life besides whispers to friends. most in Tokyo will ignore the existence because its the japanese way but a few may just stare without a word.
Some in Harajuku will think its cute and others in other areas will think theyre fatties or ugly.

Just my personal experience, but lots of normie Japanese people used to call me and other lolitas cosplayers. So I guess lolita also has some kind of otaku vibe to them
Lolita is generally seen as something for spoiled teenagers with a princess complex and people are expected to grow out of it when they become adults and get a job/get married. Having weird self-involved hobbies as an adult is looked down on even harsher than it is in the west.
Not sure if it has the same sexual/daddy issues connotation over there, though. I'd also imagine that since Christianity is more of an exotic aesthetic preference that a religion in Japan, there's not as much scaremongering about goths and gothic imagery.
Post what you have, let's see fashion in motion.
Bonus points for longer gifs/webms that would never fit on tumblr. I am sad about my tiny tumblr gifs.

Can we have a thread for lolitas we idolize, look up to or like? Please tell us why you like them and maybe even share your favorite coord they've worn.
>lolita and ouji both are welcome
>not a best lolita or best coord post don't spam the thread with negativity if you disagree
>let's refrain from selfposting and drama ok thanks
I really love her classic and simple style.

I've always liked Shelby because I discovered lolita and her videos at the same time. When I want to relax and feel better I listen to her voice. I also love her coords.
Milky Fawn even if she isn't a lolita anymore she's the reason I only buy brand she is my ultimate lolita idol <3 <3
Show me things that you bought (or made) that go with absolutely nothing in your closet, /cgl/.
I bought a custom sized Jsk from forest sambar (the vincent van gogh dress)
I had waited three months for it to arrive and when it did, it was horrifically made. The seams were bleeding due to the fabric, the fit was really off, it was far longer than I ordered, the ribbions were like cheap gold christmas ribbion and the navy on the bodice and the underskirt ruffle were two entirely different shades and material.
I have done dressmaking for nearly 10 years and Iwas horrified that they let such a mess of a dress be released and shipped. Saddly I didn't get my money...

Not lolita, but I really regret trying out Arda's silky wigs. When they arrived I didn't like the shine and lack of thickness, but decided that I'd make it work since I'd already spent the money. Tried to recurl it into a mermaid wave and it turned into the biggest, most tangled mess I have ever encountered (and I own dozens of wigs). I spent a long time trying to detangle it, but the fibers were so kinked and frizzed and re-tangling every time I brushed them out, I eventually gave up and bought a replacement without having worn it once.

Pictures?
Request worn photos of certain pieces or pieces of a similar style, JSKs, OPs, headwear, OTKs/tight, etc.
I just bought pic related and am looking for a certain worn photo of it. If I can remember correctly, she had a bright blonde bob cut, blue makeup, and was slightly larger than usual Moitie measurements. Does anyone have this/these photo(s)?
I'd love to see worn pics of this! It's IW's Dot Jacquard Circus JSK.
Also requesting worn photos of the Lucienne Dream cutsew in any color, if anyone has them!

Did you buy it off WW? I hope you were one of the anons who had it as a dream dress. I don't have the picture saved, but you're thinking of a girl who goes by DivineCross (http://divinecross.tumblr.com/). Go through her archive to find it.

Took a shortcut and found some of her for you
I looked through all the Jfash threads (minus Lolita) and it seems like most--if not all--the models are east Asian.
Can we get a thread where we post other races wearing various J-fashion styles? White, black, hispanic, doesn't matter. I just want to see what it looks like on other people.
(Also please don't turn this into a race war. It's not meant to hate on Asians)
Oh, and self posts are very much welcome!
Peaceful thread, everyone. Peaceful thread..
Have some content.
How do we co-ord randoseru with the stuff we have? Where to get cute randoseru? What kind of randoseru do you want?
Let's discuss the holy bag.
>How do you like to co-ordinate randoseru?
>What colour?
>What style(fairy-kei, lolita, etc..)?
>How do you like to co-ordinate randoseru?
I don't really co-ord, it's casual for me. Designated handbag because convenient.
>What colour?
Deep red because I am a girl
>What style(fairy-kei, lolita, etc..)?
Otome, nanchatte, and lolita. It's perfect for otome, and I'm pretty much a red-scheme loli anyway.. Nanchatte takes a little more work because of the bold colour, but as long as I'm outside of JP it just looks slightly eccentric.

Shape takes up too much space in randoseru, inconvenient for bento. -2/10, try harder.

The print is just awful. Do you have any other brands saved?
Ever got a temporary tattoo just for a cosplay?
Two of my cosplays involve tattoos. One has a smaller tattoo on the wrist, so I just drew it and had it printed as a temporary tattoo. Saves a lot of time and there's no way to fuck it up, but the stuff the company uses for their tattoos does get kinda gross after a couple days from dirt and dust sticking to it, so unless I cover the tat when I'm done cosplaying, its too gross to wear multiple days in a row.
The other one has a large lower abdomen tattoo, and going the custom tat route would be too expensive so I made a stencil out of thin, flexible cardboard,...

Printer tattoo paper is your friend. I just draw up my own stuff and print it myself.
How did you keep your tattoos from looking terribly fake? I used the printer paper and after I applied it, the tattoo was very shiny. I was also cosplaying pic related so getting it off was a bitch.
