Please tell me somebody else saw a fucking weird ass couple, really starting to believe they were infact aliens. Saw them at the end of the concert, parking lot, it was jammed. The man was old like 70, weird face , skin was weird (like off the face?) he was getting in his old white pick up truck, handicap sign on it, accompanied by woman like..50 maybe very tall ,as soon as they stepped in the car they faced me same time both of them, stared at each other (vibes INTENSE VIBES) the man had like whiteish eyes almost as if they were catarats (but he was on the drivers seat sooo he coould see) the womans eyes all white with black pupil like a cat, no iris. Heart chasing almost panic attack, never experienced anything like this ever. Sorry for my english.

So the other day i fell asleep on the couch, and had this really trippy dream. I dreamt that i was lieing on the floor of my livingroom, and suddenly the roof started to open. It was night, and I could see lots of stars. Suddenly they started coming closer and started to magnify until I could see different planets and galaxies. It was incredibly beautiful and seemed very realistic to me. Then I looked down and realised that my body was levitating a few feet above the floor, and then the dream ended.

I had this really vivid and quite bizarre dream last night, in which a white cat came towards me and sat next to my head. It then proceeded to whisper in my ear what sounded like some kind of digital noise. This scared the shit out of me and I woke up screaming. For the rest of the night, I kept sleeping quite poorly, but somehow reminding myself NOT to forget about the white cat, did this whilst still sleeping. The whole thing was just so extremely specific, like as if this cat was really important for some reason.
Anyone got any insights as to what this might mean to me? Also, would love to hear of anything else related to seeing animals in dreams.

For some reason I have re-occurring dreams about a large green snake. In the dreams the snake always is in my backyard or living room. I usually am the one trying to catch it and while it has never managed to harm myself, it has bit my mom and niece.
So /x/, since Art Bell quit broadcasting for good because of some random shootings, are there any other good paranormal/paranoid/Midnight-in-the-desert type podcasts out there?

Not too long after moving to my current apartement I had a weird ass vision.
I saw a women, in her forties smiling at me and right next to her was a figure. He had a black hooded cloak, greenish skin, no nose and he was also smiling.
nothing threaning about this vision. The weirdness and unknown meaning of what I saw is what scares me to this day. I have not seen them since last summer when I burned sage in the apartment.

Thoughts on the "Otterman"? I grew up in Alaska and have heard some stories. I personally have never experienced an encounter. This story is said to be either bigfoot or the otterman.

I have a good friend who is Alaskan Native, he is very hesitant to talk about the Otterman. During our senior year of high school he was living with me and he told me this story.
We lived about 3 1/2 miles away from this lake, called spirit lake( or elephant lake due to the view from the air, It's in Kenai, AK 99611 if you want to look it up) Him and his older brother went finishing for rainbow trout one night, and were coming back to shore around 1:30 am, if you have ever visited Alaska you know it doesn't really get dark in the summer. Well, they loaded the boat and were pulling up the hill and at the top of the hill there was this native boy standing in the middle of the road. They called out to him and he didn't budge or say a word. As they got near him, the boy took off into the surrounding forest. They jumped out of the truck and couldn't find the boy. They heard a menacing giggle then a giant splash. When my friend told me this story, you could tell he saw something that night. The way he described the boy, was almost ghost like. Very pale, and dark around the eyes. In native culture this creature is very mischievous, and often lures people to the waters edge then drowns them, they are also known to shape-shift. Now like I said, I only lived a few miles away from this lake. I would go there and fish all the time. I always had an uneasy feeling, never went without my rifle.

Considering the body's the Russians just recently discovered. What scenario would you rather be in. A week long trip through Dyaltov pass, with a proper tour guide, essential supplies for that week, no communications what so ever. Or a Night in Aokigahara ( Suicide forest ) 24 hours, in a tent in the middle of the forest by yourself. With only what you bring with you, other than firearms.?
I would choose the suicide forest and bring with me sleeping pills, earplugs and a lot of water/food. I would then swallow the pills and sleep through the day in my tent.

I'm reading The Roots of Coincidence by Arthur Koestler and at some point he cites a theory that states that conscious will (ie. the effect of the mind on the behaviour of the brain and body) is brought upon by psi processes, PK and ESP acting on one's own brain (as if we were a ghost operating the machine that is our brain), and external convenvional PK and ESP phenomenon would be instances of these processes acting upon our environment instead. In other words, we are external to our brain (or if internal, fundamentally separate at least) and exhert will by operating it using what is popularly known as psi, but could very well be a basic biological mechanism of all living beings.
Have you read of similar theories in other books and belief systems? I'd like to know.
Also, if you're temped to argue against this theory I mention, OK (I don't even assume is correct), but first do read the book (chapter two), because otherwise you will be missing most of the exposition, arguments and scientific research cited by Koestler. And I won't waste my time repeating them.
The esoteric point of view on this as described by Alice Bailey is that spirit/awareness interacts with organic matter to produce consciousness. As science hasn't yet been able to come up with anything which contradicts this, or proposes a better model, I guess Koestler was on to something. I haven't read the book but it sounds about right afaik.

Just to come back to this very briefly as it's way past my bedtime, this depends on the definition of 'we'. At the most obvious level, we are a product of our brain in that our sense of self can be altered by drugs, stroke, surgery, etc. At the other end of the spectrum, if you believe the reports of out of body experience, we do not rely on our brains for awareness. Somewhere, somehow, this interaction between 'pure' awareness and the brain is being played out, resulting in our normal waking consciousness.

I must point out this is not Koestler's theory. He merely cites it (and he makes a point of not pronouncing himself as to whether he considers it "on the right track"). I did find it mindblowing though.

The thing is it's only will which is external to the brain (because it has not been found either as an explicit mechanism nor as an emergent deterministic phenomenon derived from brain chemistry). Perception, emotion and everything else does have an origin in the material brain, thus it is affected by drugs. It would seem "we" are will plus everything else, being the will the analogous of the "mind" here.
Drugs can alter your actions, but not by directly affecting your will, rather by affecting all the data your will has to make a decision on which action to take (emotions, external and internal perception, etc.)

Poor Michael, can't believe it's been nearly seven years since he passed away.
This couple who were somewhat well known artists killed themselves a few years ago and were insistent they were being pursued by scientologists and a pedophila ring.
People have theorized they were an Alternate Reality Game and they faked their own deaths or were paranoid. They kept this up for a number of years. There's something very disturbing and haunting about the whole complex of theories and information around them.
Does anyone else know about this and have people with an occult background formulated any conclusions about this?
