so /x/, I was wondering if you could clarify some doubt and questions I have about the Ouija. I dont usually come here, so I am sorry if this is a frequently asked question that noob people ask
So well, my questions are:
If you are doing a Ouija session in a room and you contact a dangerous entity
who is in danger everyone in the room, or everyone in the session, or everyone who are in the house?
If you see someone doing a Ouija session with a dangerous entity in a video are you at risk?
>>17208096
Everyone in the room is in danger. Everyone in the house, if it's a particularly dangerous/powerful entity. Hell, everyone in the fucking city could be in danger. Of course, that's not really a likely scenario.
My point being that assume that nothing is safe. Ouija boards are designed to make contact. Consider that word. Contact. You're not just talking. You're touching. Touching something that can't usually be touched. You're giving it the ability to do something that it can't always do. And, depending on what you contact, it may be strong enough to keep that power and use it in more ways than you could anticipate.
But, a ghost/demon throwing shit around is not really going to be a likely thing. Possession is a greater concern. The whole process of the group moving the lens across the board is a form of possession. Which is why a group does it together. If a person does it alone, then they'll probably just get totally possessed. So, you should probably come up with some method to determine if anyone is possessed once you're done. Of course, if you get some mind demon in your friend, they'll probably be able to peruse all their memories and answer any question you could ask anyway.
To be fair, the real reason a group has to do an Ouija board together is because it's a pile of shit. The only way anything will ever happen is if you get enough people together that when the one jackass who wants to fuck with everyone else starts moving the lens for everyone, he can do so without everyone else being able to tell it's just him. "OMG! This is totally happening entirely on its own!" It does seem to be a very convenient setup doesn't it?
As for that last question, no. While it's plausible for a spirit to be able to manipulate electrical devices, videos are a recording of the past. What happened in them isn't currently happening so any depiction of a spirit is JUST that, a depiction. Now, if you're talking about a live video feed... I have no idea.

hey, not OP. what is source on these pics?
they are obviously fake? maybe?
The crowd of strangers looked up from their camp fire. Someone or something was rustling around in the woods.
It took a moment but suddenly the form of a man appeared, with jet black hair that came to his shoulders. He didn't seem to notice or didn't acknowledge the group of people around the camp fire but continued in a direction away from the fire.
"Hey man, are you lost?" one our group yelled out to him.
"What is he doing? Maybe we should follow him for a second, make sure he's all right." said Kyle. The others nodded in agreement.
We all started to walk in the direction he was heading. He was by no means travelling very quickly, but we were having trouble keeping up as he would disappear behind branches and foliage.
"Hey, slow down! Please!" Tina yelled out.
Finally the woods changed and we came to a small scrapyard with mounds of trash covering a compacted dirt floor.
We could see his pale face peeking over one of the mounds, looking at us. He climbed a little further and we could see he was wearing a long sleeve button-up shirt and sweat pants.
"What are yuh doin man? Did you have something to drink? You doin okay?" asks Kyle.
"This place is dangerous. There are tons of jagged pieces of metal, glass, and of course wild animals. Why don't you come with us?" as soon as I asked the question the young looking man descended out of view.
The three of us turned to one another. "What in the fuck?"
As we made our way around the pile of rubbish, we could see his form in the darkness. As the flashlight fell on his back I could see he was swaying slowly side to side.
At this point neither of us knew what to do.
"Yeah. Yeah. That sounds good." came a voice.
We all hesitated again, looking over at one another.
"Where do you live? You live around here?" asked Tina.
"I'll go with you." was all he responded with.
He swiveled around to face us. His eyes looked like he hadn't slept in an entire week. Purple and almost black beneath hazel eyes. Perhaps it was just the lighting, but his skin looked like the color of white egg shells.
His lips quivered, staring at us, waiting for a response. He then made small burping sounds as if he were about to throw up, lurching forward, his head swinging down near the ground.
"Why don't you come and hang out with us? We've got a camp fire and some food." I said, trying to act like I wasn't thoroughly psyched out by his behaviour. I could feel my palms starting to sweat.
He pulled up out of his stupor, with this halfhazard smile on his face, as if he were having some kind of difficulty moving the individual muscles of his mouth. Finally his lips tightened up again as he closed his sleep deprived eyes. Again his body began to churn in a circular direction.
"You feel sick?" asked Kyle, and the instant he said it he knew it was the wrong thing to say.
His eyes flicked open. He began to look like he was chewing something in his mouth, a small scowl pressuring his face, his eyes darting around the piles of trash behind us.
"Have you all been out here in the early morning?" he spoke few octaves too loud, his voice seeming to boom, reverberating from the trees surrounding us.
"It's just not the same. It's not peaceful. Nope."
Again we didn't know how to respond.
"The worst is when you don't have any food. The worst is when you don't have any water. The worst is when you're frozen."
At this point I wanted to back away slowly and let this pale faced stranger go his own way.
"I'm not sure if I understand." said Kyle, trying to be rational.
"Do you all still live with your parents?" he asked us, with seeming normalcy.
"Yes. Me and Tina do. Look, not to be rude but you're frightening us. We would love it if you would back to the camp fire with us." I said, trying to control the shakiness in my voice.
"Fuck your fire, and fuck all of you!" the stranger screamed, the flashlight flew out of Tina's hand and one of the large piles of trash started to come tumbling down.
"Oh God, oh God, OH GOD!" yelled out Tina, scrambling to pick up her flashlight.
We heard his footsteps as he darted around the piles of trash, at random times little clinks and noises rang out as he made his escape farther and farther from us.
"What just.... what just fucking happened?" I asked, realizing suddenly that I felt incredibly sick to my stomach. I had also started to pant and could hear the heavy breathing of everyone else.
"It's way too cold to be out here alone. Goodness." said Kyle.
"Do you have any spooky winter stories for me Anon?"

Hello, /x/. In the last year, I have touched been touching base with my spiritual side, but have not been committed to a set of beliefs, but am interested in diving in more. This is a Wicca general thread, however if anyone wants to help me answer these questions about the practice:
>what resources did you use when you were first learning the craft?
I am seeking valid information about the belief system, using spells, crystal energy, the way the moon interacts with the balance of the earth, and herb mixtures.
>do you encourage practicing in a coven, or is it your own spiritual journey?
>any other good information and resources for a person interested
Does that mean you want to be a witch?
no, no, no, its exhausting and frustrating
I don't care for Wicca much, but I will help you understand the basics of spellcasting.
Ignoring fluff, a spell can still be described as many things. Energy manipulation, imposing your will on reality, etc.
Both of those are technically correct. It is your belief in yourself, magic, and your working that is going to allow you to cast successful spells.
Basically, your tool in energy work is your mind. Think of your mind as your hands when working with energy. Visualization is key. It doesn't matter if you're not good at it at first. Practice. Don't stress, just let it come to you naturally. Some people see energy as electricity, others colors, others light. What matters the most is that it's something you can picture and hold the image of.
Generally, a circle comes in to store all of the energy you're working with, whether it comes from you, or something else. Pretty useful. You can look up how to make one online, or ask me in this thread, and I'll respond later.
After you have rose your energy, you'll want to program it. This is done by visualizing your goal. Do this for as long as you feel is required. Once you're done, disassemble your circle and give your energy a little "push;" like telling a dog to fetch.
Commencing brief shamanism dump.
Shamanism is an ancient set of methods and beliefs that centre around a relationship with the natural world and its energies.
To quote from Wikipedia:
“Some anthropologists and religious scholars define a shaman as an intermediary between the natural and spiritual world, who travels between worlds in a state of trance. Once in the spirit world, the shaman would commune with the spirits for assistance in healing, hunting or weather management. Ripinsky-Naxon describes shamans as, “People who have a strong interest in their surrounding environment and the society of which they are a part.”
Shamanism is based on the premise that the visible world is pervaded by invisible forces or spirits that affect the lives of the living. In contrast to animism and animatism, which any and usually all members of a society practice, shamanism requires specialized knowledge or abilities. It could be said that shamans are the experts employed by animists and animist communities.
[The word] “shaman” originally referred to the traditional healers of Turkic-Mongol areas such as Northern Asia (Siberia) and Mongolia, a \"shaman\" being the Turkic-Tungus word for such a practitioner and literally meaning \"he or she who knows.\"
Shamanism can be seen as the root of most belief systems and its diversity matches its widespread nature and appeal. Within this broad umbrella there are some key concepts that are central to most forms of Shamanism.

The World Tree
Many cultures around the world contain reference to a World Tree (the Axis Mundi) that links the worlds together. The classical representation featured below is actually from Norse beliefs, where the tree is known as the Yggdrasil. The All-Father Norse God Odin hung from the Yggdrasil for nine days in order to receive the wisdom of the runes.
The concept of a World Tree is common to most shamanic systems and this can also be found in certain initiatory practices. In some tribes, when a student is learning to become a shaman they are sent up the tree, where they are torn into hundreds of pieces. Their ability to reform themselves and climb back down unharmed denotes their success at the initiation.
This process is undertaken as a shamanic, “otherworldly” journey as opposed to an actual physical dismemberment. However, the effect is much the same since shamans believe that there is a very real correlation between all aspects of the self.
Haitian Vodou (an example of a living shamanic tradition) regards the tree as being central to all things and each peristyle (the equivalent of a temple or celebratory sacred space) will contain a pole decorated with images of Damballah and his wife (two “world serpents” that curl around the tree) and known as the poteau mitan.
The World Tree can appear in many different forms since all trees are aspects of this One Tree. When you begin each shamanic journey, you should start at your own version of the World Tree. From there you can travel to each of the worlds (see below). The following meditation will allow you to visit the World Tree for yourself. Once you have experienced the energy of the Tree, is will be easier to return there (although it may be a different shape or species on each occasion!).

World Tree meditation
Make yourself comfortable, laying on your back on the floor. You may wish to use a blanket or duvet underneath you. It is also a good idea to place a small cushion under your knees as this will reduce tension on the lower back. If you wish, you may play some soft, relaxing music in the background.
Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Be aware of the breath as it fills your lungs, then allow it to fall away easily and naturally. Allow your breathing to become gentle and effortless and as you focus on your breath, let your mind empty of all thoughts. You are held in a safe place and do not need to anything else right now except to relax into this feeling of bliss.
Imagine yourself in a place in the countryside. Take a moment to look around and to experience the feeling of being there. Hear all of the sounds of nature around you; breathe deeply into the fragrances of the living world. Fix the intention in your mind that you are going to visit the World Tree and experience its energy.
Allow yourself to be drawn forwards, to a place where trees are growing in abundance. Walk through this wooded area, all the time following your instinct to the place where the World Tree will be waiting. Once you have reached the Tree, spend some time in getting to know what it’s like. Examine the shape, texture and size of the tree and if you can, remember what species it appears as. Walk around the tree and touch it, feeling the energy of the Tree flowing out towards you as you do so.

Allow your own energies to merge with that of the World Tree. Feel its very nature flowing into you as yours flows back into the Tree. Become as one. Get to know the World Tree and understand its purpose. Recognise the idea that the tree extends far up into the sky, reaching towards the Upper World, and its roots burrow deep into the earth, reaching towards the Lower World. Allow yourself to know this purpose.
You may wish to ask for a symbol or word that will help you to reach this place with a minimum of effort. This symbol will represent the World Tree and you may use it to call upon the energy of the Tree in future, or to start any further journeys. When you are ready, give thanks to the World Tree for sharing its nature with you and return to the place where you started off.
Gently allow your consciousness to return to your body, bringing back all of the feelings and knowledge that you have gained. When you are awake once more, reflect on your understanding of the World Tree.

Do you have ADD or just nothing to contribute?
First I'm sorry if my writing is not clear
I need some knowledge here or sources
Back in 2013, I did my first and only summoning after reading many books, it was a good expirence but I didn't get a lot from it. I summoned what we call a sky spirit so I had no worries at all that this could harm me, after cleaning, doing the rituals and prayer I asked for a sign an indeed I got one, then i got all excited and asked for another sign to make sure, and I got the same noise it was similar to coins shaking in in you pockets. I started introducing myself and asking favours but I did not get any answer not at that moment or any day after not even in dreams, so I stopped all of this and never tried again.
Suddenly I have that urge to do it again but not with the same spirit but another one that I always think about. It is a really long story so please pay attention maybe I can finally learn how to contact with it. Or at least learn its name.
>back in my late childhood I was in a really horrible time, all depressed, never leave my room, feel alienated etc..
>I started eating in my room, not showering for days, and even urinating in my room, garbage everywhere etc.. My family left me alone because I was really aggressive with them.
>one day, I think it was the afternoon, I was sleeping on the ground, didn't like sleeping on my bed for some reason, I saw something really strange that I will never forget.
>I was awake after sleep, but extremely lazy and couldn't move a muscle but I have no doubt that I was awake.
>few meters right to me, there was clearly a spirit that could resemble an owl but not exactly an owl, the shape of the head was different and so is the face, and the eyes.
>I looked at its eyes, it was strange shape not horizontal but more like a diamond shape, then I turned away and kept calm for few minutes, then I left my room. And slept for few days in the another room.

Sleep paralysis. It wasn't real.
Do you guys die frequently in your nightmares? Is there any meaning to seeing yourself die in dreams? I ask because, for a while, I had a recurring nightmare about being underwater in the ocean, and then torn apart by killer whales. it wasn't brief, like prometheus regenerating liver, my body had an endless suply of limbs and organs for the whales to feast, as I witnessed semiconciously. This happened several times until it suddenly stopped.
Thoughts?
I've dreamt of myself actually dying, and not from falling, but just dying like poof im dead. It affected my behavior for awhile. I got more protective and started respecting people a lil bit more. I even stopped making cancer jokes, but that was a year ago, these changes took effect for like a week or so.

I once had this dream as a child where I was walking around barefoot in the streets of Brooklyn where we lived. I stepped on a giant piece of glass that went right through my foot. Me and my sister hurried back to the apartment we lived in to get the glass out but no matter how much she pulled my sister couldn't get the glass out of my foot. At that point we had just gotten in to the apartment and the door was still open. We heard loud, slow footsteps coming up to our floor. I peeked out the door and saw a haggard old woman in a very dark green dress hobbling slowly to our door. She had disheveled black hair, skin that had pores the size of pennies and a hooked nose like witches do. My heart started beating fast so I rushed to close and lock the door but I realized that suddenly I was 10 feet away from it. I started limping my way to the door to close it with the support of this umbrella we had. Every time I took a step it felt like some force was pulling me down to the ground and I tripped onto the ground. This tripping happened several times and I found there was some force stopping me from reaching the door. As the old woman got closer and closer to the point where she got I to the apartment, I woke up. That was the closest I ever felt like I died in a dream. I can't believe I typed all this out.

this is largely a mystery but there are some allusions we find in scripture...
"For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:"
"I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."
you could likely find a lot of information in Genesis, i would say. lots of mysteries and spiritual wisdom in Genesis

The minor gods of ancient civilizations. What were they? Ancients in contact with aliens? Demons? Actual spirits that took form?
>>17206102
They were gods. There weren't analogous to other types of thoughtforms or entities. They have a role to play in that time and place and played it they did. It's as simple as that, and needs no complex retroactive pseudoexplanation.
>>17206102
They can't just be made up. They always have to be something more than that.
Gods were/are either:
-Higher dimensional beings
-Advanced benevolent/malevolent alien life forms
-Time-travelling humans
Personally, I believe the first two hold the most merit but there's always the possibility that gods were manufactured by humanity's innate yearning for purpose and guidance.
hello /x/,
recently i stayed on the queen mary a supposedly haunted cruise ship turned into a hotel and I think I had a few paranormal encounters. I also have a bit of family history on the ship, my grandmother traveled on it from Chile to Germany in the 1940's.
first, my boyfriend bought me a tea infuser as a late christmas gift and i left it on a table for a while, later i picked it up and got an extremely heavy feeling in my chest and we both smelled freshly brewed black tea, but it had never been used and there was no tea in the room. everyone who picked it up seemed to get weird vibes off of it and recently i lost it.
the second encounter i was sleeping for about an hour and something suddenly interrupted my sleep, I'm not sure what, but when i opened my eyes I could see people walking around me and i closed and opened them a couple times and they were gone.
>>17206054
All you are doing is experiencing what your grandma did on the ship. She must be stuck between that time in her life, and death.
