Shit.

I know dreams are supposed to be weird, but it amazes me how my brain can come up with stuff like this.

For example, I just had a dream where I walked into a world where we weren't supposed to show emotion, none at all, or we were killed. It was like a small building with multiple bunk beds and computers at the end, where we went to work. We had one partner that worked with us on everything. There was one leader or someone in charge who fucking gave me that look whenever I "showed emotion" and I had to bullshit my way out of what I just did. It was like some dystopian future thing.

Last year I also had a dream where I recognized a man from another dream, and when I began following him he started running away and I found myself bumping into a woman with a clipboard in an elevator, and having a lucid dream. The scenes changed around me, she started asking me questions about how real it felt, how pain felt in the dream, etc and took notes.

But most of my dreams are ones that feel days long where I'm placed in some other life (different setting, friends) and I develop incredibly deep connections with new people around me that my brain has thought of randomly, and I always feel sad when I wake up that it's all gone.

>tl;dr: keep having weird and/or long dreams that are incredibly emotional or seem like my brain is coming up with different "experiment worlds" to test on me and my reactions

Does anyone know why this happens? What are some of your weird dreams? It's fucking fascinating

Jungian dream analysis! Right now!

Think about it this way: We all inherit a means of symbolic understanding. Just like our instincts we're capable of making up the weirdest symbology! Like for instance: Spiders.
It's a pretty regular superstition, that seeing a spider in the morning is a bad omen, an omen of a depressing day, but seeing one in the evening is a good sign. Some people believe this to be religious superstition, you know.. Like a black cat waking across your trail? But in reality it's much more complicated.
A spider is a symbol of spinning. Fantasies. It's not a good thing to wake up with depressing fantasies and overthinking everything. But it's healthy to relax in the evening, and just start to fantasize about otherworldly things. Getting ready to go to bed, by just letting your thoughts flow out!

If you try and find hiden symbology in your dreams (praise google) you'd begin to understand what your subcontious is trying to tell you, and i do believe that Jungian dream analysis is the best way around this.

I'm not one to interpret dreams.. But i just so happend to be reading about this exact thing only 15 minutes ago, so i won't be trying to explain your dreams. It's pretty much for yourself, though some people are trained in helping to understand the symbolism. You can probably find some people like that here.

I don't actually believe in aliens, but I the following thought just fucks my mind:

Look at us humans. We can create life in vitro. We can play around with genetics and create special breedings of certain life forms. We can rearrange our earth, manipulate the nature and all..
We build engines and powerplants, which work similar as humans. They need coal, fuel, etc. to burn it and produce energy. Isn't it the same like humans work?

What if all those historical gods were just ayy lmao master race, who played around a bit and have created a little universe. Just like a programmer who creates textures for a game and gives attributes to certain objects.
All those stars, planets and shit are just failed projects, which we are not supposed to see.

Humans can play "god" aswell, so why should the human be the only being, which is able to do things like that?
Who knows? Maybe the old Sumerians and Babylonians knew what's up and wrote the Epic of Gilgamesh, Atrahasis, Enuma elis and Etana on plates, but we are just too stupid to understand it. The religions of Mesopotamia also had a very strong astrological component.

I know it's some kind of conspiracy theory/pseudoscience, but nothing is impossible.

There is no compelling evidence of alien visitation, either then or now, and no reason to suspect that such evidence is out there and we just haven't found it.

Yes, I know about all that and more. It suggests nothing of alien visitation.

Hey /x/, I was wondering if any of you know anything about indian burial grounds. My late grandmother owned a fairly large property in west virginia which was passed on to my father and his brother upon her death. My grandmother was a very superstitious women and was always insistent about her grandchildren never wondering too far from the house into the heavily wooded surrounding property. I always had assumed she was simply worried about us getting lost in the woods as the surrounding area was quite large and full of dense forrest that was difficult to navigate, but its possible her fears stemmed from something darker. A year or so ago I was wandering around the property when i stumbled upon an odd formation of rocks that was around 8 feet at its widest. Grass and other plant life had sprouted up between the rocks and it was clear that stones had been in there current position for some time. Intrigued I immediately headed back to find my father and ask him about what I had found. Surprisingly, he responded to my inquires in a very matter of fact manor and said I had stumbled upon one of the properties burial mounds. He insisted that he had told me about the mounds several times before and had even taken me to see them. Yet I had no recollection of this.

Apparently when the property was purchased the former owner informed my grandmother that there were several indian burial mounds scattered across the estate, but he had never contacted any archaeological associations because he worried someone would come and dig them up.

From my knowledge there are two of these mounds across the property that i have personally discovered, yet my uncle claims there is a third that he found one night yet for the life of him cannot find the location again.

My question for /x/ is how would i go about confirming if these are indeed burial mounds or not?

Hi /x/, I have a story I was hoping you could shed some light on.

I work in a nightclub in Australia, one of the bouncers I work with is a very large bodybuilder with a deep voice - quite intimidating to most. He has come here from Russia where he served in the military there. A very handy man sometimes when it comes to the tough parts of our job.

On several occasions he has began to speak to all the staff about the paranormal and one story keeps recurring. He speaks of 'The Bride of the Night,' apparently an old Russian phenomenon. He tells us that if you situate yourself in a graveyard from midnight to sunrise with a campfire and cook eggs over it; the Bride of the Night will appear.

He describes her as a distressed undead woman wearing a wedding dress/gown and he has no neck. If you remain by the campfire, you are safe from her. If you leave the campfire out of fear from her or any other reason, she will come after you and you will not survive.

He is dead serious when he tells us about her, naturally us other staff are very skeptical. He offers us $10,000 to do it and record our experience but absolutely will not do it himself. If any of us are to do it, he would also like us to make legal statement releasing him of any responsibility that lead to the end of our lives.

After some searching, we've all come up with nothing. Can you tell us anything about the Bride of the Night, /x/?

Russian legends are scary. In my country theres a similar legend, you dont have to cook anything. But you have tobask hernto marry you in thebgraveyard. After that she will appear and grant you any wish and you will have ten years to enjoy it. After that you will vanish/die

What if the government knew about aliens and their agenda.

And so they rounded up all the "Schizos" told them they were fucked up instead of telling them they are actually being fucked with by aliens. Then gave them super powers with medication.

That way it stays hidden nobody flips out.

Well accept for you guys reading this.

Who else noticed a strange phenomenon where walking through doorways - any kind; makes you you forget things. IE What you were trying to do, what you were talking about, what you were thinking, what time it is, etc etc. Is this why Ancient forums and gathering grounds were huge rooms / spaces or town squares?

Can anyone dish out theories on why this happens; evidence helps too.

Psychological, perhaps? Doorways represent a separation in space -- perhaps they create a similar separation or break in the consciousness?

Leaving thoughts in rooms is a bug in the memory palace system.

Let's take a look at the paranomal side of the cognitive science.
When we open a program on a computer we can tell exactly what happened, where the program came from, how it is running, how to shut it down, change it and so on.

Can we do the same with thoughts? What about consciousness?
How can a biological combinations/reactions create these things?
Where did consciousness come from?

What if consciousness is some high being and thoughts are the command lines to control us?

I have often thought about my thoughts and their origin especially when they were really weird or felt like they do not belong to me.

You want to know what i am talking about? Its easy to explain

Imagine its a sunny bright day, your sitting in your garden, enjoying the warm air touching your skin, relaxing, everything is fine and suddendly a smal girl from the neighborhood appears looking to you.

The first thought that floats in your head is "How would it feel to smash her little head?"

And the next moment I just think to yourself what the fuck where did this thought came from? why did i thought something crazy weird stuff? sometimes youre scared of yourself

i believe these are spiritual attacks -

it relates to each person daily. the difference is due to different awareness states and identify the origin of thoughts and subsequent decision
