There is a point where madness becomes something alike sanity. A clarity unseen to the naked eye of the half baked zealot; the truly unruly, clearly dearly despotic, incomprehensibly, incorrigibly incompetent insomniac. What clarity have you, whom have become so enraptured in ramblings incessant and irresponsible? Have you seen a thousandth of the pain this world has to offer or are you merely a pretender? A hypnotic hash in a hilariously high end system of enchanted exchanges, of which you haven't even the beginning of comprehensive knowledge. Yet you claim others to be of lower standing, that their bark has more velocity than their bite. Tell me, have you ever witnessed a half-crocodile, quarter-human, quarter angel dance with the devil in the pale moonlight? Have you beared witness to a billion atrocities across the epochs and ages? Do you truly know that of which you speak, or are you merely speaking from the viewpoint of a fanatical imp? Has science so polluted your brain that you no longer have the power to dream of impossibility? Are you truly fit to even mention the phrase Hyperbolic Hypocrisy? Nay, you lack that right, until you have seen the corpse of all you hold dear before you a thousand times over.
pish posh
There is no such thing as insanity or sanity. There is only mental health. A healthy mind can reason anything, an insane mind can't. It's just a matter of whether the brain can work efficiently is all.

Two days ago, my girlfriend saw shadowpeople by our bed. Before she noticed them, she said that she felt that she was being watched. A couple seconds later she said that she saw two distorted people by our bed. I couldn't see them, but I got a little bit freaked out. If this is real, why can she see them, but I can't? I've been kinda paranoid ever since even though I don't really believe much in the paranormal. Answers are appreciated
I can't offer answers, but I can offer sympathy. Been through that at a place myself. I left the place. That's how it ended. You could try a cleansing I guess.
>>17905505
The only times I saw shadow people were when I tripped on benadryl. I never actually communicated with them but I remember that they were children, or at least the size of children.
Mind you, this was during high school when I wanted to trip but had no access to real psychedelics (And DXM was off the table because I could never pee while on it). I haven't overdosed on benadryl in 5 years because of how fucking dumb it is. Still, I always wondered what would have happened if I ever broke through and was able to interact with them.

What if the Japanese went to war with the US in WWII on purpose, with the intention of losing?
>But the US military was shit at the time, no way they could see that coming!
FDR brought the US out of the depression. So why wouldn't the Japanese also think he would be able to build up the military too?
>But FDR wasn't in power when WWII ended! They couldn't have been able to calculate what he would do!
Yes they would've. They knew the US was growing tired of the war. They knew he would use whatever means necessary to win. Even if they didn't know a nuke was coming, they expected a large invasion of the main island at least.
>But what did they have to gain from getting nuked?
They predicted the US would intervene and get Japan back on its feet and pave the road for a post-war economic miracle.
>But how could they have guessed that they would've stimulated their economy?
They would've been easily able to notice the US' track record of removing "oppressive" governments and stimulating capitalism.
However, there is one flaw with the Japanese plan: they didn't take China into account. They didn't predict China would overtake them as a manufacturing powerhouse, but they're remedying that. How? By influencing Anti-Chinese offshoring candidates for the upcoming election.
>But it's illegal for foreign countries to influence elections!
That hasn't stopped the Saudi Arabians and Hillary Clinton.
What do you think, /x/? Could I be onto something?
No. Japan tried to bite more than they can chew.
>The Japanese thought the U.S. military was shit
No they didn't. The Japanese knew the U.S. military was vastly superior to theirs, and same with their industrial capacity. They're entire strategy and tactics involved David v. Goliath type scenarios, and taking whatever advantage their smaller forces could afford.
>they knew we would use whatever means necessary
The opposite is true. Their entire doctrine involved the U.S. getting tired of a fight and giving up. They believed a democracy, and what's more a democracy with women's suffrage, would never want to fight a protracted war.
>the U.S.'s track record of removing oppressive governments
The U.S. had no such track record at the time. Or since.
>Saudi Arabia and Clinton
Saudi Arabia has nothing to do with Clinton's campaign.
Pull your head out of your ass, retard. It's surprising to be believe you're wrong on every single point.

So for the last few weeks, something has been incredibly off in my environment. Everyone in the household (including myself) have all been angrier, our tempers have been shorter, etc. I've been experiencing nightmares every night, my father has been unable to sleep while I have been sleepier and more sluggish than usual. For the other member of the house, I can't say as we are not close. Last week, we heard a gigantic crash in the least occupied part of the house. We keep everything pretty neat and orderly, and nothing seemed unusual when we went to investigate. It just didn't sit right with me, the crash was so intense that it shook the entire house and it should have been at least audible to my neighbors. Guess what? They didn't hear a thing. They were all home. Now, just today, both of the dogs and the cat are all fucking petrified and refuse to go outside or really do anything. They're so scared they're trembling. I haven't noticed if they've been looking at what I'd presume would be the wall or anything as every time I try to engage any activity, they just sit there, trembling and if you try to touch them, they resist some but will let you pick them up or let you pet them. Has anyone ever had any kind of experience like this? Feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

As far as card meanings, that should be easy enough to find.
Of course, meanings aren't set in stone, so you'll have to take the circumstances of the question into account.
As far as actually using them, it's one of things that's best to not overthink.
Take an initial snapshot impression, and attempt to decode your impression, don't piddle the impression to death by trying to re-impression over and over.
As far as layout methods, this is what I do for my own personal queries:
>hold the "essence" of the question in mental focus (not the words, the "soul" of the question)
>being shuffling until it feels right to stop
>Speak the question aloud, intent directed at the deck
>draw one card, with the intent of "gimme the tl;dr"
>if that makes no sense whatsoever, draw a second card with the intent of "clarify the first card"
>lather, rinse, repeat as required
Basically, I start with the intent of getting a broad summary answer, then if needed start 'dividing down into the subtleties'. There's probably a better way to say that, but I don't know what it is, that's just what I call it in my head.
Greetings, and welcome to The /x/ Files, the weekly news digest for 4chan's Paranormal board. Every Sunday, we take a quick snapshot of the mysterious world around us and bring it, in an easily readable magazine format, to the board. I am The Editor, the anonymous creator of this idea and collector of the news that will be following below. In the interests of legitimacy, I will be using a secure tripcode to post the thread; once the posts are completed, I will take the tripcode off and return to my anonymity.
Over the past 35 weeks, I've come across lots of interesting articles that, due to certain factors, I couldn't really justify calling them news and therefore omitted. So this week, I'm starting a new section, dedicated to one article a week, that I stumble upon and think is worth sharing with /x/. All that, plus the news, C2C, the podcasts, and more, in Issue Thirty-Five of The /x/ Files!

Possible Remains of the Buddha Found in China
Archaeologists have discovered what may be a skull bone from the revered Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama. The bone was hidden inside a model of a stupa, or a Buddhist shrine used for meditation. Discovered beneath the Grand Bao'en Temple, the stupa model — which is 117 centimeters tall and 45 cm wide (nearly 4 feet by 1.5 feet) — was stored within an iron box, which, in turn, was stored within a stone chest.
An inscription found within the stone chest was written by a man named Deming about 1,000 years ago, saying that he is "the Master of Perfect Enlightenment, Abbot of Chengtian Monastery [and] the Holder of the Purple Robe." He tells the story of how the Buddha's parietal bone came to China. The parietal bone of the Buddha was buried within an inner casket made of gold, which, in turn, was placed in an outer casket made of silver, according to the archaeologists. The silver casket was then placed inside the model of the stupa.
It remains unclear if the skull fragment actually is that of Buddha or if the people who placed it within the chest had simply believed that to have been the case. Nevertheless, when the bone was displayed in Macau, the media outlet Xinhua reported that more than 140,000 tickets were sold to view the relic.

Paranormal Article of the Week
The Crone of the Catskills
"Several months ago, I received an email from a frightened New York man who believed he had come into possession of a cursed object causing terrifying poltergeist manifestations in his friend’s home....He and a friend had discovered the figure hidden in a cave while hiking in the Catskill Mountains, and despite his objections, his hiking partner decided to bring it home.
"As strange phenomena began to slowly manifest in the house, the two men became aware that removing the figure was not a good idea – it had come with an attachment. After the frightening manifestation of an old woman, soaking wet, appeared crouched in the dark shadows of the living room, they knew they needed to seek help."
This article details the story of The Crone - a rustic effigy with nails through its eyes and a noose around its neck - discovered in a cave. Surrounded by paranormal activity, it was soon sent to the owners of a paranormal museum, whereupon malevolent activities began to occur.
"Lying on the floor was a plastic figurine of Christ, normally found nailed to a crucifix. As I turned him over in my hands, I realized that he was missing an arm. On the complete opposite side of the room, swinging silently on a cross hung in the corner, was Jesus’ missing appendage. Something had not only managed to pull Christ from the crucifix without removing it from the wall, it had thrown the figure across the room. Sitting directly below the now-desecrated cross was The Crone.
"Nearly six months after The Crone arrived at Weird HQ, it remains on the very short no-touching list when on tour and sealed in a padlocked case when not on display. If not just because of the apparently-malevolent phenomena surrounding the object, but because we still can’t seem to understand its intended purpose."

I've consulted a few other divinators, and I now need somebody to cast the runes.
The situation in question is a girl I'm with who is in... trouble. We have agreed to quiet down for now, because her parents aren't approving of me.
Would it work out?
I already posted in the divination thread, got two same answers, went to ask a friend to cast the runes who decided to be a complete dick about it and treat me like dirt, so I cut ties with him.
