First time posting here, hoping to get some advice/help/thoughts on some pretty weird stuff that’s been happening to me recently. This will probably end up being a long post, there’s a lot to tell, but I think my house is being haunted or something...
My girlfriend and I moved house a little over three months ago now, the house is relatively new (no older than 5 years) and in a decent enough area close to Leicestershire. The first few weeks were fine and we had no problems with the new place at all but then, about two weeks ago, things started to happen. At first...

The next evening, about 8:30-8:45pm, I heard a knocking from the kitchen. We don’t let the cats into the kitchen so I just presumed it was the wind or the pipes; something like that. After about ten minutes the noise was still coming from the kitchen so I went to try and find the source. After checking the room I found that the noise was coming from outside so I stepped out into the back garden to have a look. There was nobody around and I couldn’t see any sign of animals. I could still hear the knocking noise and it sounded like it was coming from directly below me. I stood...

more to come...
At about 12:30am I woke up to my mobile phone ringing. I noticed I had 8 text messages and 4 missed calls. My initial thought was “Oh shit, what’s happened?” so I answered the phone but couldn’t hear anyone on the other end. I asked who was there a couple of times but didn’t really know what was going on; I’d been in a deep sleep. After a few seconds I heard a raspy voice in the background mumbling something. It sounded like German (I did a brief German course in 2006 so have a very basic understanding of the language) but I couldn’t work out what was being said....

When we left off ExuGuy was talking about the differences between Umbanda, Candomblé, and Quimbanda as well as the two ways to find out your Exu and Orixá. I'd like to continue that thread.

Hey OP! I didn't get to see Exuguy's last post - can you show a screen cap of where we left off?
I think you should still be able to see the thread here: >>15416827
But here's a screen shot, too.

In the interest of a proper opening... showing Papa some love.
Sup you se/x/y people. I was wondering if we could get a Voodoo general going? A while back I came upon a thread which had a lot of really cool information. There was a guy in there who really knew his shit, coming from Louisiana or something. Anyways, any and all info pertaining to Voodoo is appreciated, as I know next to nothing about it other than the obvious, like its origins in African spirituality and Catholicism.
Also I'd highly recommend the X-Files episode "Fresh Bones." For those who have seen it, how accurate is the shows depiction of Voodoo?
Will bump with random shit from Wikipedia.
>Vodouists believe in a distant and unknowable creator god, Bondye (likely derived from the French language term Bon Dieu, or Good Lord). As Bondye does not intercede in human affairs, vodouists direct their worship toward spirits subservient to Bondye, called loa.[9] Every loa is responsible for a particular aspect of life, with the dynamic and changing personalities of each loa reflecting the many possibilities inherent to the aspects of life over which they preside.[10] In order to navigate daily life,...

>Vodou originated in the French slave colony of Haiti in the 18th century, when African religious practice was actively suppressed, and enslaved Africans were forced to convert to Christianity.[12][13] Religious practices of contemporary Vodou are descended from, and closely related to, West African Vodun as practiced by the Fon and Ewe. Vodou also incorporates elements and symbolism from other African peoples including the Yorùbá and Bakongo; as well as Taíno religious beliefs, and European spirituality including Roman Catholic Christianity, European...

>Because Bondye (god) is unreachable, Vodouisants aim their prayers to lesser entities, the spirits known as loa, or mistè. The most notable loa include Papa Legba (guardian of the crossroads), Erzulie Freda (the spirit of love), Simbi (the spirit of rain and magicians), Kouzin Zaka (the spirit of agriculture), and The Marasa, divine twins considered to be the first children of Bondye.[25]
These loa can be divided into 21 nations, which include the Petro, Rada, Congo and Nago.[26] The Petro and the Rada contrast most with one another, because the Petro are hot or aggressive and restless, whereas the Rada are cool or calm and peaceful.[citation needed] Each of the loa is associated with a particular Roman Catholic saint. For example, Legba is associated with St. Anthony the Hermit and Damballa is associated with St. Patrick.[27]
The Loa also fall into family groups who share a surname, such as Ogou, Ezili, Azaka or Ghede. For instance, "Ezili" is a family, Ezili Danto and Ezili Freda are two individual spirits in that family. Each family is associated with a specific aspect, for instance the Ogou family are soldiers, the Ezili govern the feminine spheres of life, the Azaka govern agriculture, the Ghede govern the sphere of death and fertility.
Those in the Haitian Vodou practices that serve the loa are the Bokor. The Bokor are the Vodou priest/priestesses who can be hired to perform various sorcery. The Bokor practice both light and dark forms of magic.
Hey /x/ this is my first post here but seeing as how I found something quite interesting a couple days ago, I decided to make this thread
Now a little backstory, I was drunk and in ottowa some 4 days ago, along the canal when I found a briefcase, it was 6 am, and no one was around so I grabbed it thinking nothing of it tI'll I got home, and realised it was locked.. I broke into it, to find tons of manilla envelopes with papers most blacked out with sharpie, others with random numbers and letters (h4ze67lf53fs) I threw those out, and found this at the bottom... Now,...

The papers have been recycled but they all had serial numbers and talked about a conference with names blocked out, dates and times and something about "newsworthy" and "patriotism" most was nonsensical cause of the sharpie, and others where just pages of letters and numbers jumbled together..
Here's a picture of the back, time stamp included
It's an external hard drive if you guys have yet to guess
I'm not sure if I should take this thread to /pol/ or /g/ but it seems to fit into the scheme of things here, so If anyone would want to theorize about what could be on here, or what this all means then I'm open to discussion.. If anyone would know how to get into it, that would also be awesome.

What happens when you plug it in? Assuming you have the proper USB cable to interface with it.
Also you should have kept the other papers with the codes. They would have been interesting to analyze from a turbonerd perspective.
What if Earth was the only place where predation developed as part of the ecosystem?
What if the 'norm' of alien life forms is photosynthesis, and therefore the very concept of 'killing' if unimaginable to them?
What if we are the most FUCKING BRUTAL life forms in the galaxy, and the aliens are horrified by us?

Quick backstory: Zodiac was a serial killer in the 60's and 70's who teased the police by sending them a ton of letters. He sent the police two cipher puzzles, one of which were solved. Zodiac's second cipher has still never been solved and neither has the killer's identity been revealed.

Well /x/, it's Halloween again, which means for the third year running it's time for me to upload my collection. We'll start off the night with the main event and largest drop in terms of content, the text folder. It contains, among other things, 62 un-screencapped stories and nearly 4,000 Nope stories of various categories, up around 800 from last year.
As the night goes on there'll be further uploads, such as screencapped stories, full books, images, and music. Happy Halloween, /x/.

You crazy goddamn bastard. I admire your dedication. I'm kind of like that, but having had various computers die on me the last few years, I've lost a lot of shit. Maybe I can recover some this way.
In the meantime, general Halloween thread. Post scary stories, nopes, images - anything relevant. Last year the thread was around for a long time, hopefully this one will be as good.
What are /x/'s thoughts on snuff films? Do you think they exist? Have you ever seen one?
I myself believe there's an underground circuit of snuff films that tie in with the secret pedophilia rings.
people say nay. I say, if you look long and hard enough you will find what you seek.
I've never chased it, but I used to rubberneck goregasm back in the day to sate my interests in the ways death takes one to the next world.
When I was a wee lad in the early days of the Internet, stuff like brutally hard core cp and snuff films where rare but obtainable. The things I used to get posing as a young girl on aim chat would blow your mind
>>15416946
It honestly just depends on how you define snuff films.
Hey /x/, I have a story for you, and I need some help. This all happened yesterday. It's not a jump scare story, but there is a sort of build up.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT I THOUGHT ASTRAL PROJECTING WAS A JOKE UNTIL I TRIED IT JUST A FEW HOURS AGO IN THE MORNING.
I was tired for being in the computer all day so I decided to sleep. When sleeping I remembered this so called "Astral Projecting" thing so I decided to do it out of boredom by following the rope technique:
http://themindunleashed.org/2013/06/10-effective-techniques-to-experiencing.html
I did what the method said and after a few minutes I felt myself hovering above my body seeing nothing but bright blue and in a few seconds later I saw...

O and sure you should do it again!
Had a similar experience, too. Continue with it, OP. Being able to astrally project is a great thing.
Good morning /x/
My name is Conner, and I am a student at Kennesaw State University in Georgia. I am involved in a research project about the modern belief in Demons and Devils. In the paper, I will be comparing the ancient beliefs to those of today. It would be a great help if you all could share your thoughts on your current belief in the Demonic. I would also appreciate it if you would state the current belief system you ascribe to.
I will be lurking and posting when necessary. And if any of you need or would like to contact me, my skype is sani,1234

In my Chaos-Gnostic view, demons are manifestations of the first Adversary, and they work within the Sitra Ahra (a type of place that is nearly void of the presence of the God) and other planes of existence in order to return all things, including the God, back to Chaos or "Nothingness" as Jung calls it in Liber Novus.
