Here is where you're getting confused. A great great grandfather is 4 generations above you, while a "great grand aunt" (great great aunt would be more correct) is only 3 generations above you. See how that doesn't add up? They couldn't possibly be siblings being a full familial generation apart.
Ada and George would have to be on the same generational level as siblings, which from your position is 4 generations removed. But to Samantha, who is the grandchild of Ada, they are only 2 generations removed, which also puts her 2 generations removed from you. Hence she's your cousin twice removed.

Old CPU: i3 2120
New CPU: i5 2500k
My new CPU doesn't seem to work. When starting the PC the mobo light will turn on, then just before POST the system will restart. I've stripped out all components with just the CPU, PSU, and RAM in with no luck. After trying the new CPU I swapped back to my old one and the system boots fine; it's what I'm using now.
Is there anything I'm supposed to be doing on a BIOS level before installing the new CPU that I've forgotten? Following troubleshooting guides aren't very helpful as they mostly point to the CPU being faulty.
It isn't incompatible so it should work as soon as you plug it in. If you can try putting it in a different computer to make sure it isn't your motherboard. my guess is that the cpu is faulty see if you can get it returned and get one that is working.

Unfortunately, I got the CPU as part of a hardware swap. I purchased multiple parts, but the CPU is the only one giving me trouble. There won't be an RMA on this one.
I could try asking around if anyone else has a socket 1155 motherboard, but most of my friends wouldn't know what I meant or already have better.

When I built my current PC i had forgotten to plug the CPU in. This caused my system to restart right before it was about to post, just like your problem. I plugged it in and it worked fine, so either your CPU is dead, or it's not plugged in. and I doubt you forgot to plug it in.

So, for 2 days now I've been getting a completely blank white page when trying to load http://torrents.empornium.me/ and when trying the alternate domain http://www.empornium.sx/ I get "server not found".
I'm using Firefox, but I've tried using Chrome and Edge, and the result is the same.
I also tried deleting cache/cookies, running browsers in safe mode, clean re-install of browsers and doing full system scans for malware with Spybot & Avast.
I'm at a loss as to what else I can do to fix this.

So I got a Gtx 1070 and tried overclocking it. The overclock was unstable and I kept getting graphical issues and black screens I turned the resolution down to something really low and went into device manager and it had said that the graphics card had been disabled because it was reporting errors. I restarted it and now the monitor detects a signal and turns on but it only displays a black screen the computer beeps once and everything is on but it won't display anything
Did you see any smoke or smell something burning?
Try to put the gpu into another system to see if it works. Worst case scenario, you fucked up and fried your gpu or just unlucky in getting weak as fuck gpu. Try warranty but dont tell them you overclocked it. Hope this helps in anyway.
if you can plug your monitor into your motherboard, do that and undo the overclock. if you cant do that try getting into your bios and undo the overclock there.
The weird thing is that the computer has strait up stopped booting either It's a 6700k so I tried integrated graphics but that won't work either. Same thing

1. Be sure your cooling system and case is compatible in size and fan slot
2. I suggest using SSD + HDD. ssd for OS, HDD for data
3. Use at least tier 1 or 2 power supply (find at the internet for tier list)
4. For a 2k budget, you only use 1.5k . kinda weird for me

my android phone was having an issue charging (it would lose battery while plugged in, which has happened before), then it shut down and now enters a reboot loop when it's started.
Searching for fixes has yielded nothing useful. I tried to enter "recovery mode" by holding the power, volume and home buttons simultaneously at boot but that only gave me a screen saying"sd downloader error". I have no idea if it's even possible to enter safe mode. I've also removed the battery for a a few mins before attempting to enter recovery mode, but that did nothing.
Any advice is appreciated at this point.
