Hey /wsr/. I'm a scrub and my dumb ass needs assistance. There's this cool (sfw) mother 3 doujin on pixiv i'd like to see translated, but A.) I don't do japanese B.) I have no idea how to contact the artist, or if I even need to C.) I don't know where the hell to even begin looking when it comes to translation.
It's substantial enough (talking hundreds of pages here) that I don't think just slapping it up on an imageboard like danbooru and hoping somebody takes up the translation request is gonna cut it.
I can do any image editing myself if need be, it's more just the text itself I wanna have a translation of. If this is the wrong board, fuck me, I'm a first time requester. Point me the right way at least pls.

how do I resize a transparent image?
I don't have photoshop or anything but really need to make a picture bigger but everytime I do it loses its transparency.
im obviously not advanced at this shit so please help me out.

first: it must be saved in a format that supports transparency (usually PNG, GIF also works techically but is old)
"normally" you'd just have 3 channels per image: Red, Green and Blue (at 8bits each, you're looking at a 24bit PNG). for transparency you need a fourth channel called the Alpha channel (adding another 8bit for a total of 32bit PNG).
so you need a software that supports alpha channels and doesn't automatically remove them (like MS Paint does afaik).
if you're looking for a free alternative to Photoshop: GIMP is pretty good and open source (aka completely free). it can do most of what PS can do (even though it's sometimes a bit cumbersome to work). There are simpler alternatives, but GIMP is pretty much the end-all be-all of free image editing software.
the GUI can be intimidating. so if you go with GIMP here's how you resize a transparent image in GIMP: open the image. in the menu bar above the image go to Image>Scale Image. After you're done you'll have to export it via File>Export As and keep the PNG extension.
You are probably saving the image in a format that has no alpha channel. Jpg doesn't.
Try png.
You'll need to download some kind of image editing program that supports transparency if you don't have one already, first off. GIMP should be fine for this purpose. It's free and it'll get the job done.
Question is, do you need to make the image itself larger while maintaining the transparency, or do you just want to make the transparent area larger?
If it's the first one, you'll need to go to the Image menu > Scale Image > set the dimensions to whatever you need. The entire picture itself should be enlarged.
(Don't uncheck the "maintain aspect ratio" checkbox/the little chain inbetween the image size dimensions unless you want it to get all stretched and awkward looking)
If you just need the transparent area around the image itself to be larger, go Image > Canvas Size > set the dimensions to whatever you need. You can drag the image to where it needs to be on the canvas with the move tool.
In order to make sure the transparency stays as-is, you'll need to go File > Export As > whatever file type you need, though I'd go with PNG if you don't need anything specific i.e. GIF or JPG or whatnot.

Hello. I have a little problem. Tried to install Hackintosh on my laptop and I've deleted boot option from UEFi shell. And now I've discovered that there's bios password on my PC and so I can't add a new option to boot.
I have USB with arch Linux on it, and USB with Hackintosh which has access to UEFi shell.
What can I do now?
My laptop is Asus x555ld with ami bios.
The worst thing is that was a the boot option for a hard drive

Hi /war/, so I forgot the password to my Outlook account linked to my Xbox One profile. When I attempt to sign into my Xbox profile it promotes me to enter my Outlook password, which I do not know. Up until recently there has been a "Skip" option I would choose, but that's gone. I also do not have the phone number attached to the Outlook account, which is preventing me from resetting the password.
I never sent an email from this account which is why I can not submit an account recovery from.
I'm at wits end.

okay so i unplugged every electrical device for the night and when i plugged it back on this morning my pc didn't respond when i pushed the power button. motherboard leds are on and the power supply seems to work fine too. any ideas? this is a 10 year old shitbox btw.

The branch with 3 resistors is the equivalent of a 2 ohm resistor.
Resistance total is 6 ohms.
the 2 ohm branch will drop 2/6 of the total V
Vr = Vt * (R/Rt) = 36 * (2/6) = 12V = V2
V1 = 36-12 = 24V=V1
R3 will drop 1/4 of V2
V3 = (1/4)*12 = 3V =V3
V4 = V2-V3 = 12V-3V = 9V = V4
