Well, I'm a pleb at this kind of things, but since you seem desperate I'll tell you what I use.
Sennheiser CX-300 II: Rich bass, comfortable, noise-isolating. I got three of them in the span of five years more or less, they're kind of fragile so treat them with care.
>>

These look pretty alright anon, thanks
I'm still open to more suggestions though, forgot to mention the last pair I had were some Skullcandy Jib ones that were suprsingly good quality, although the new version is a lot worse than the old one

What is your use?
What are you going to listen to? Voice? Music?
Do you need extra bass?
Do you need isolation?
Do you prefer a certain weight and/or shape?

Right now I'm using a pair of Dunu DN-12. They weight a ton but are sturdy and still work perfectly after a year of use. I usually break cheaper earbuds in a month or two of intensive use, wearing them constantly at work.

About 6-8 years ago I stumbled upon a very strange YouTube video, and I just remembered it today.
I think it was about 8-9 minutes long. It began with a rapidly-flashing static image (sort of like those optical-illusion GIFs where it looks like it's continually zooming in) before a text-box dropped down. The words flashed one-at-a-time on the screen, with accompanied narration. I think it was a female voice, and it was one of those text-to-speech things. The text said something along the lines of; "You are about to watch a video. The images and sounds you are about to hear were created simultaneously on a computer, using video creation software." Just continuously over-explaining the concept of a video for about a minute and a half, before it ended with "The following is a true story."
And then, the actual video begins. The animation was sort-of a mix between Cyriak's work (stock photos of real people, animals, and backgrounds) and a YouTube Poop. It told a story of a character called the "Pee-Pee Boy", a crude amalgamation of a head, arms, and legs, that constantly urinated wherever it walked. Text scrolled along the bottom of the screen describing what was happening. I believe at one point he went underground and either opened up, or came out of, a coffin, but I'm not too sure.
I seem to recall the guy who made this video was a relatively-prominent member of the YouTube Poop community, and they had a lot of similarly weird videos, but I can't remember any of those.
I sincerely hope at least one other person on this board remembers, or at least has heard of, this video.

Nah, it wasn't this guy. The animation in that video is pretty similar to what I remember, though.
Thanks for trying to help me out though, anon. I'm enjoying this guy's work.

I don't know, but you seem to miss a few letters and all of your punctuation. Is it because of your impaired vision or simply because you don't care?

I have a very obscure and vague request.

About 5 years ago (+/- 1 year) I heard this song that was connected, in some way, to a video game soundtrack. I'm not sure exactly how they were connected but I have the vague memory of some video game soundtrack/bundle being given away (or sold for cheap). Anyway, the song I'm looking for wasn't actually part of the soundtrack, but came with it. I remember it had a video which may or may not have been on YouTube, but the video was mostly just flashing police lights. The song was electronic and had few lyrics, I remember like an "uh uh yeh yeh uh uh" but then I think that sounds stupid so maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, if anyone can help that'd be incredible.

PS I keep thinking of the name "Night Party" and I have no idea why. Please help.

You watched too much CSI. You can't upscale an image without it looking pixellated or blurry.

Unless you redraw each detail by hand of course, but it's akin to drawing an entire painting, not "a couple seconds in photoshop".

looking for either an online converter that converts movies to the .webm format (must not require the use of non-free javascript)

or

a downloadable program for GNU+Linux that will convert movies to the .webm format.

ffmpeg, you retard.

Also, after years of supporting the FSF and using the GPL, I stopped after how RMS defended Matthew Garrett when he was added to the FSF board of directors. Having a pro-censorship person as a director of a free-speech group is retarded as fuck.

Thanks for the idea as well as your opinion.

This is going to be a very odd request.

I am not a very knowledgeable person, I lived under a rock for most of my life and was denied an education.

What I mostly want to learn about is things like history, politics, philosophy, etc. I just feel so stupid not really knowing what's going on in the world or about the basics of politics and shit.

Are there good websites that will teach me about this stuff and help me learn? I've tried Wikipedia but its articles are too all over the place.

y = ax^2 + bx +c
= a(x^2 +(b/a)x + (c/a))

The graph is stretched in y-direction by the factor a
compared to the graph of y = x^2 + (b/a)x + (c/a)

>Vertex / line of symmetry
x = -b/(2a) is the line of symmetry, put it in the formula to obtain the y-value of the vertex.

>y-intercept
set x = 0, look at the constant term in the formula

>x-intercepts
set y = 0, calculate the zeros with the usual formulas.

protip: check your sketches with wolfram alpha, but try to do it before alone.

This is kinda an unusual request. I save points using the numbers under the bottle caps of Coca Cola products. I have a powerade cap number here for someone hopefully in another country not here in the USA. I bought it at a wal-mart store using my bank card, and would like to mess with Coca Colas head. They keep tabs on people every witch way they can. It would really look strange if someone on the other side of the world used this number. You would have to have a Coca Cola account to do this.
