Idgaf if I someone else do it. If they're a neckbedora then so be it but I would actually find it quite refreshing to see a normal healthy person playing one. It's the same as candy crush etc in my eyes. I used to play Mario on the tube.
If you actually look decent then playing it while just chilling at a cafe or something isn't so bad

I used to think it was autistic but as I get older I stop caring. I bring my DS whenever I think I'll have to sit around and wait somewhere, fuck what other people think. I'm not fat or a neckbeard anyway.
I can't bring myself to play it on the bus yet though, but I think it's because I get sick if I don't look out the window.
So I don't spend a lot of time here (oldfag, mostly lust after the 151) and I haven't kept up with the times.

I'm currently playing SoulSilver for -like- the 11th time, and I still find it amusing. It's a randomized run, my starter is Scyther. I'm about to challange Mahogany town's gym.

I'm into Pokémon since 1999 (European release date of R/B, I'm Italian), so I'm very attached to the first gen. That said, I consider HG/SS to be the apex of the mainline games, probably because I like Johto and its mountainous theme, the possibility to challange 16 gym leaders and the visual style. Probably in the near future there will be a better game, I'm really ok with X/Y and OR/AS.
