Did anyone else really enjoy having a big group of friends to interact with in XY?
I thought it was cool to travel the region and join members of the gang for a battle/chat/exploration at different stages of the game. The interactions in XY felt less forced and invasive than in BW. If they'd beefed up their pokemon teams, they would've been perfect.
Would you like to see future games do something similar?
I thought it was good. Jerk rivals were cool when I was 7, these days I prefer the going on a journey with your friends supporting you approach.

It was a great idea, but I don't feel like it was executed very well. None of the characters were really memorable as individuals - they were all kind of generic. If they do this again, it'd be nice to have characters with actual personalities to hang out with, and maybe a separate rival to actually have for challenges.

So you highlight all six symbols on some random ass Treecko, regardless of how many IVs it actually has, and then send it hoping the receiver trusts your use of the symbols and doesn't actually check its IVs.

Rather than your traditional remake/new gen, Game Freak announces thatthey won't be making any new gens for the next six years, instead producing one new game every year, using the XY engine and features, that follows all of Ash's travels, one region each game, with the only Pokemon usable are the ones he caught/evolved

I think you've found the single worst possible scenario for Pokemon's future. This would definitely make me drop this franchise like molten lead once and for all. I foresee Z following the trend set by both gen 6 games (excessive handholding, utter lack of postgame) rather than the trend set by third versions/sequels fixing their respective games
