In my most recent game I managed to wipe out a civ while in the Classical era for the first time, and literally everyone I've met so far declared war on me, though I have yet to counter an actual assault, disregarding Pedro throwing a few warriors my way
Why is this happening now when world takeovers in later eras only result in mass denouncements and nothing else?
Even while experimenting with playing as Germany and deleting my first settler and taking over via recruited barbs, wiping out civs in the Ancient era hasn't provoked this kind of response
And they don't think I'm weak, because all of them said something along the lines of "The odds aren't with me, but I war you anyway"
