It doesn't push load FROM the CPU, it just puts a fuckload MORE load onto the GPU. Increasing render quality past 1 enables supersampling (rendering at a higher resolution and then downscaling the image, AKA how anti-aliasing normally works). RenderQuality=1.41 will render the game at twice the chosen resolution (1.4142... being the square root of 2); =1.73 will be thrice the chosen resolution (sqrt of 3), and so on. Putting RQ at 2 will be an absolutely massive framerate hit, rendering the game at four times the display resolution, and even if you somehow manage to get a playable framerate you'll have stuttering and hang-ups out the wazoo and there will be little if any visible difference compared to a lower render quality (1.41 gives a noticeable increase in sharpness and reduction in FXAA blur over 1, and as the number goes up, the increase goes down- diminishing returns).

I'd like to see high velocity ammo buffed so that it increases damage at max range.
e.g. instead of 167 at 85m with the gauss saw it's something like 175 at 100m
And like a 30% increase to velocity instead of piddly 5%

The Jackhammer is a fucking crutch though. By far the best shotgun in the game, on a HA, with .75 ADS speed = major crutch.

It's funny cause it was similar to this in PS1 as well.
The MCG was just a bigger assault rifle, the jackhammer was just a bigger shotgun with burst capability, and the Lasher was a completely unique weapon that fluctuated between broken and absolute trash.Also funny is the fact that the chaingun looks awful in both games

The old Lasher during beta was a joke for me. A range of about 20 metres and you had to have pin point accuracy. With all the ADADADADAD spammers, it would have been next to useless.
Can't believe that was their vision for the Lasher, some sort of beam weapon. Makes you wonder what other things they thought was a 'good idea'. Did any of those fucks even play the 1st game?!
