This is the most powerful gaming console OF ALL TIME at the first year of it's release... And we've already hit the technical limit. Nine more years of this folks, nine very sad years.
CPU was always going to be shit. No amount of SUPERCHARGED 8GB GDDR5 OF RAM POWER was going to make that 2009 netbook/low-end laptop go any faster. The only saving grace was the mid range laptop GPU in there, but even on release it was outdated by around three generations on PC.
This will only get worse over time.
You can never hit an absolute technical limits of any hardware. You might approach it several year later, but not the first year.
