Why isn't the video games industry split into Recreational Video games and Competitive Video games.
Sports are split into Recreational sports and Competitive Ones. It´s a natural division, yet when it comes to games the developers will say that "this game is both for casuals and hardcore players alike" which is always bullshit.
Saying because a game has an easy mode and a hard mode makes it competitive is bullshit, because the game will still be streamlined as fuck so you don't have to think nor use strategy and you can save everywhere anyway

What are some RPGs with good combat? Dark Souls had good combat. Light attack, heavy attack, dodge, block, parry, etc. Been playing Divinity 2 and it's one where it comes down to clicking and potion chugging to negate the mountains of damage that will rain down on you. Click click click. No combos. No dance. Using number button skills. Jump-slashing. So many RPGs do that shit and it just ruins it for me.

I like this game but you can't argue that it's casual as fuck, just like everything that gets the Persona label

A more casual casual SMT. Also op you forgot the free dlc they give you can make two characters have shit loads of hp at the start.
The only issue I have is that the main bosses do suck, the FOE are harder than them. That said, it's a good thing you don't have to grind. Hell, not even EO forces you to grind except for the post game content, and that's a maybe.
