Why does nobody care that games are getting progressively shorter the better they look?
Because length doesn't always equal quality, for one.
For two, because the average gamer these days doesn't want to bother playing the same game for too long, lest it interfere with the next big "hype" title in the pipeline.
I do. That's why I stopped getting hype over games with good marketing. If it's too good to be true, it probably is. And I'd rather wait a while before purchasing a new title with these traits than going all out on it on release.
There have been people bitching about games becoming shorter for a while now. But these are a vocal minority, in comparison to the amount of people who don't know any better because they just got into a particular game series with the most recent entry. And as time passes, the difference between those who are well versed in video games versus those who are just getting into it due to a fad and then leaving it in favor of the next title that is "in" will become more distinctively marked.

This anon also makes a valid point. Not many games have to be long to be good. Granted, with the incredible potential most contemporary platforms most consumers have access to, we *should* be games of exceptionally high quality. But that isn't the case always due to a number of, ultimately, human factors.
We can only assume that, unless you're willing to rile up enough people to change the industry to deliver a proper video game, we only have a handful of options:
a) Deal with it and just play the games, no matter how short or shitty they are.
b)Deal with it and play games that aren't necessarily those being advertised everywhere.
c)Play older games.

Everyone treated the beta fine so what could have possibly went wrong?
It's pretty good but it lacks maps, it has a good variety of game modes though.
And the game will get boring when people start unlocking the OP weapons and cards, then it'll literally be explosive spam everywhere.

I played the beta, and loved it. But, I can't justify spending full price on a multiplayer only game, ya know? Even Counter-Strike wasn't a full priced release.

Have these guys just gotten bad? I tried to watch some of their newer videos, and I just can't help but feel that they've devolved to shit. It's sad because I really liked them at one point, but now it just feels like they're a terrible caricature of themselves.

When they first started Matt and Pat assumed roles: Pat was angry guy, Matt was dumb guy. Since then they started to add Woolie into the mix who didn't have a role, he was just some guy they made fun of. As the years went on they started showing themselves and started to get overly opinionated about things.
Around the time Liam showed up was when things got even worse. Not that having 4 people are bad for a channel as it gives variety, but there is nothing that actually shows them WITH variety. After a while, they just became what you never wanted them to be, assholes who record dicking around and making money off of it.

but that's very different to microtransactions / crates and shit. Not to mention that it's still in EA, we're still waiting for the next big update (gunslinger) and there's no news on that.
Even the fucking workshop is only for skins to be sold back to us and not for maps or anything.
