this is actually some of my favorite shit, as usually the character has some sort of high health regen or lifesteal. Pretty much balances your character early, but makes him OP later.

Because god-tier design, no "cinematic" game-pausing bullshit, and super responsible controls. The game also got atmosphere, sound-design and gunplay pretty much nailed.

it's not a re-skin at all, broski. It's a literal, REmake -level total REMAKE. Totally overhauled visuals, maps, puzzles, gameplay...
The only real issues with it at the moment are the cut areas, the complete lack of Xen, bit too low jump-height, and the psychic-tier HECU grunts that instantly spray your ass from half a mile away, with full-auto fire, the moment you show your face around the corner.
it's gonna be great once these issues are addressed, but at the moment it's still bit too unfinished to be a proper replacement for the original HL1.
