just picked this game up for the first time, two hours in and I'm still in naraku (doing the first three challenge quests). I've just been fucking around, this game is a lot of fun. What do you guys rate it? Also if you have any tips I would appreciate it.

All this time and i've only just come to realize, video games aren't fun. They're just childrens toys that autistic neckbearded failures at life like us use as escapism from the real world.
It's artificial fun and artificial enjoyment. It's impossible to find any real fulfillment from video games because it's not actually you doing all that stuff, it's just a bunch of zeroes and ones
This is no way to live.

Just saw Elite Dangerous was on special on steam. First checked out this game like a year ago, saw it had no content, decided to wait a while. It seems better now.

Most gorgeous space sim ever made, but there STILL isn't that much to do. Fun for 20-50 hours if you like space sims, though it can get frustrating. The had added some new ships, and the whole political play element, though mechanically it adds very little.

Lack of meaningful things to do, really. You can fly around, you can fight, you can haul cargo. That is about it.
The flight model is easily the best I've EVER seen in a space sim, the graphics are absolutely fantastic, the sense of scale is insane. All of that is amazing. But the problem really is that after a while, you realize there is barely anything else to it: yeah, flying around feels amazing, but the actual progression is fucking grind-tastic and the grind isn't really fun after a few hours. Plus the multiplayer is... basically botched entirely.
What are the best 4X strategy games for PC? It seems like an interesting genre, but I've never played any games in it.
Also, considering I'm not familiar with the genre, I would prefer something a little more accessible than something with depth out the ass.
