Why does /v/ hate this game?
Mostly the junction system and the contrivance relating to the foster home. Personally I liked the junction system though and wasn't as bothered by the contrivance.

But I loved it. I preferred the modernish world in VIII. VI, VII, VIII, and now XV are my favorite worlds in the series. It's something relatable. The more believable the stories, the more I'll care.

Why do people say the Fallout 4 Brotherhood of Steel is a return to form?
I never played 2, but I did play 1. In 1 they weren't really crazy violent people, they were just isolationist, but not really that mean or anything. They even help drive out super mutants without taking over everything.

I was expecting something brutal like in Strange Journey where you had to be super prepared for Mem Aleph. Hell, I even fused all of my demons so they'd have pierce. Turns out it was kind of unnecessary.
