So, the A.I. in Blackjack outright cheats.
For those that don't play Blackjack, the Dealer in most situations draws 2 cards but only one card is "face up". The second card is kept hidden until all betting parties have either surrendered or have their final hands.
In the case of any player taking Blackjack, the round ends immediately after all betting players have been hit.
But in New Vegas the A.I. will end a round immediately if the Dealer's hand is Blackjack, before the player finishes their hand. Which means you can't break even with the A.I. unless you both randomly happen to draw Blackjack when first dealt.
It also outright confirms the A.I. is "counting cards" which is fairly obvious given that Luck is a huge factor of the pseudo-RNG for gambling, but it's kind of funny that the developers didn't even try to hide it.
Damn shame too, since RDR had much better simulated gambling even with much worse and blatant A.I.

Yah, fuck this game. I'm sure it's good if you had the right experience, but everything just went wrong when I played it.

God damn I do enjoy playing Borderlands but this makes it really frustrating to play any of the three at a length.
Picked this up on a recent sale when it was a dollar before the second game got announced and just beat it.
Can we just talk about how good this game? The gameplay isn't amazing, but the characters and atmosphere really do keep you going all the way through to the end. I honestly haven't played a game this interesting in years.

I'm actually replaying it right now and it's a blast. The whole matador level man what an experience. But for the upcoming sequel I could have gone without it to be honest.I'm still gonna buy it though it's just expectations are definitely lowered
