God I hate this so much. There is nothing wrong with "Stupid, fuck around and have fun games", but there is also nothing wrong with deep, story driven RPGs, and there's a lot less of the latter, than the former lately, so it's pretty damn sad when a series that has always been very heavily on the RP side of things, completely drops it in favor of dumb fucking around nonsense.
Hell, I'd say Fallout 4 even fails at that. I only got about 12 or 13 hours in, before I had pretty firmly felt like I'd "Seen it all", and the game had nothing more to offer me.

Yeah I hear this from so many people. I've heard more defending of the game than people saying they think it's fun. And people barely talk about Fallout 4 anymore. It's so unremarkably tame of a game I suppose. Makes me happy that people are getting tired of Bethesda though, because the blind cocksucking of that company from casuals made me want to stab my eyes in.
