2 years.
>>329807084
Why does it only have a lifespan of 2 years?
What is the point of failure?besides the user of course
>>329807084
It depends. If you're poor, wait until like 2020. Otherwise, the generation after the current one should be a good time to get started as there will already be plenty of games and the most obvious and necessary missed features will get in.
What is the point of having thousands of units on screen if it just looks like a fucking mess.

Shit story
Shit "mechanics" (AKA Gimmicks they try to call mechanics)
Subpar visuals
Subpar sound
Put the final fucking nail in the coffin of Paper Mario's quality
ITT: One thing that bothers most people but DOESN'T bother you and one thing that doesn't bother most people but DOES bother you.
Doesn't Bother me: When all of the bullet based guns in the game use the same Ammo Pool.
Does Bother Me: When a gun doesn't show bullets in the magazine when reloading.
Either way PD2 is still shit
doesnt bother me: game with awful gameplay but great story
does bother me: above average gameplay but awful, unenjoyable story
>>329804739
PD2 was one of the only cases where this came to mind. Was a disapointing update anyways.
>kids born post 2005 will never know the frustration of blowing into a cartridge

Yeah because as we all know, cartridges were exterminated in the year 2005 and there aren't any around anymore

whas a cartrige? haha
What do you guys think about roleplaying in games? When a game offers you to choose a name and character, do you build yourself, or do you build some random dude?
I recently played a bit of stardew valley and I noticed that i made the character look like me, but I gave him my online moniker as a name.
How often do you ACTUALLY make a new character for your RPG style games?
>>329802586
I never self insert and make him avatar always a barbarian like beareded survival fagget because I'm an average joe who doesn't grow facial hair and I am swimmer type despite eating protein out the fucking ass and trying to gain mass
also if secondary anime grills with STR builds because fuck you
I'm saving self inserting for the time magic or technology allows me to be like a fantasy type character
>>329802586
I always just make a whole bunch of characters and restrict myself to certain things, especially in Dark Souls.
I made a strong man that uses only Caestus and the Bone fist, a caveman that is always naked with the prisoner's waistcloth, no shield, club only, etc.
>>329802586
i usually think of a a character and what he does, may do, thinks of things and wants to in the end and try to stay in charcter for the game. i never self insert

Guess /v/ doesn't wanna have a BG thread right now, oh well.
I'm an indie dev. Please stop pirating our games.
Okay, I'll just buy them on steam and refund it when I finish.
>>329801786
Post more Kirino and maybe I will
Please stop charging $25 for a game you can finish in 2 hours.
Grab a video game box and post the tagline on the back. /v/ guesses the game.

How bad is this game gonna get downgraded? Seriously look at all the tessellation, reflections, and PP in the trailer. How is it gonna run at 1080p 30fps on a gaystation

Damn, for one second I tought this was a new spiderman game
>prequel

Dude you just dont appreciate how epic it is
Why are games like rune factory 3 harshly critiqued by rievewers while games like stardew valley are praised even though they both do the same thing? Is it because one is anime-like or because it's made in Japan? It seems like indie devs who make the same content as other games are praised for there work.
I don't think it's a bias against Japan, but a bias because "It's indie!", "It's the hip new thing!", that sort of thing.
Because critiquing japanese games doesn't make you look bad.
>one guy makes it
>10/10 game
>a game company makes it
>what a shit game, <insert SJW complaints>
Why do we love this game again?
Did the current babby's first Zelda move over to TP finally?
Next gen will everyone's favorite be Skyward Sword?
>>329797120
We don't.
It's the worst 3D zelda console zelda.
It's literally OOTHD with a better sidekick and more to do. I don't know why anybody disliked it. I didn't have a problem with the wolf sections either.
So why was this Game so hyped /v/?
Because it's GOTYAY
Because it has the best Dragon in vidya ever.
Because the port can very well propel a sequel forward
>>329795606
Because it has the best combat system out there.
Great combat
Rewarding exploration
Gather your own party
Be a litteral pimp
Bitterblack Isle is one of the best dungeon crawling ever done
And /v/ told me Dark Moon is shit.
>more explorative and collectathon than GC
>though the bosses were copy-pasted, each of them still offered a different moveset and attacks
>main theme is differently composed for each mansion, unlike GC
>top-notch animations
>E. Gadd

New ghost designs are shit.
No family portraits/descriptions to keep you interested.
Game looks and runs worse than Gamecube, with framerate fluctuating all the goddamn time
New gameplay additions add almost nothing and are mostly busywork
Y'know why Luigi's Mansion is good? Because it had simple gameplay, a well-designed mansion, and you could beat it in two hours if you knew what you were doing.
Dark Moon has shitloads of cutscenes and other garbage to pad shit out and it gets boring after a few hours.
>>329795209
The problem is that being mission based with multiple mansions having identical missions makes the game boring as fuck halfway through.
>>329795209
Aww that's so cute, you like the new goofy animations! Do you watch lots of Disney? Are you a fan of Casper as well?
sequel, when?
Never
I'm in the credits of this game though, did some alpha testing for it.
>>329795031
prove it
never
it was a niche game when it came out, and will now be even more obscure.
shame
