Borderlands Thread
The first one was ok. Nothing special. Nothing terrible. Got a little tedious at times but really did a good job of meshing FPS and RPG gameplay.
The second one was best so far. Really did a good job fleshing out the story. Loved the characters, both playable and NPCs. Jack was one of the best antagonists of the last few years. I really felt for him more then hated him. I spent more time wondering if he was really all that bad then I did trying to kill him.
TPS was in between both in the story itself and gameplay. It added more depth to Jack as a character. It was great to see him and to explain what turned him into the murderous psychopath he was made out to be in 2. TPS had a few nifty innovations, but it wasn't quite enough to make it feel like an entirely new game. Being able to play as ClapTrap and a Jack clone was fun.
Hoping BL3 lives up to its older siblings. What do you hope for in the next installment of the Borderlands series?

The season 3 characters seem pretty cool, not quite as simple as season 1 characters but not quite as gimmicky as season 2 characters. Tusk is pretty crazy.

If Star Fox Zero somehow managed to fix it's garbage gameplay design, then Color Splash can too.
The game already looks great and has potential, it just needs that extra push.

Alls I want is partners (and fun characters in general), a villain that's not Bowser, and a combat system that's actually functional and serves a purpose. I think if they don't think those things should be standard in a game like this, I'm not sure if they'll understand even if the whole world is telling them.
Why do we need to change anything? We've barely seen 5 minutes of gameplay.
I wouldn't mind if it was a sequel to stickstar anyway, nintendo have my money.

I found every friend I went up against in RTS hated my guts and stopped playing. These were the same friends in high school that were happy enough in FPS, RPG, especially Driving games that I was bad at but still put the effort to buy.
RTS is too tense for casuals, MOBA is better for them, but every dumb fucker plays it like 1v1v1v1v1v5.

So I didn't play Minecraft for like four years, since probably v1.2 or something. I remember it being buggy, but past the point to where that was charming like when just Notch was making it. They had a whole team by that point, and Mojang had made over a million dollars on the game to invest into improving it or making a sequel, but it still felt like it was made by a bunch of high school students. It lost its magic.
So today I loaded up 1.9, since people keep saying it's the "best update ever". Are you fucking kidding? What changed? The game is the same as it ever was. Literally nothing is better. I play for twenty minutes, got killed by an enemy with no AI other than "COME TOWARD PLAYER", lost all my shit, returned to spawn, and have no fucking idea where I died at.
Seriously, Mojang? There's still no death waypoint? There's still no minimap? There's still no AI improvement? There's still no graphical improvements? I think it even runs WORSE than it used to. What the fuck did Mojang do with the millions of dollars they made? What are their developers even doing? What a fucking joke.
No wonder Notch left. I wouldn't be able to stand to be in such a worthless, lazy and unimaginative environment either.

Yeah, the time period when Notch was actively making Minecraft was magical. I think it'll go down in gaming history. That motherfucker was releasing big content updates almost *every week*. It takes Mojang a year to add a similar amount of content. It's because they hired some of the stupidest shits out of the modding community.
