It's going to be shit and we all know it. After Rome 2, the lack of updates for that and all the other broken games, the lack of giving a fuck about the way the games play, etc etc, I can't see this being anything short of a Total Disaster.

Why is video game critique so lousy compared to film or music critique?

Video game critics are the same fanboys raving on message boards. Only difference is they get paid to be total faggots.
You actually have to put forth effort in experiencing video games. I'm not going to say all video games take the same level of skill, but most require at least basic ability to get through. Meaning there's a lot more to affect a reviewer's opinion, also just a wider variety of likes, dislikes, and things a reviewer may or may not want to put effort into. I assume people on like youtube or whatever, probably just review whatever they want, but in a larger setting, someone may get assigned to something they don't particularly enjoy, have the skill for, or just don't have the attention span for, all of which can affect a review.
Not to say film and music don't have similar pitfalls, but you don't have to actively engage as much in either to get a good sense of things.

No. If anything it'll get worse due the increasing pressure on publishers to sell more copies to keep up their earning rates with the increasing development cost, ergo more bullshit against the consumer's best interests and thus more media justification of it from profesional shills.

First of all, DKC games are 2D. When Rare tried making a 3D collectthon out of DK, it was shit and bombed.
Second, it's been more than a decade since Fusion and every Prime game besides 1 is mediocre. Metroid needs a new 2D game, period.
I'm a massive DKfag who also really enjoys Metroid, and both series have their problems, but DKC games are all great at the least. Metroid is wildly inconsistent. I imagine being a dedicated Metroidfag is really annoying.

Concord has like 20 ready made houses that I can just only install beds with and abandoned shoplots I can use to put stores in.
And yet, the shitty gas station between Concord and Sanctuary is the one that gets the workbench.
Fallout 4 was just a poorly thought out game. I'm shocked how little care went into its creation. At least some love -- even minute -- went into making Skyrim.

FUCK THIS GAME SRSLY. Every game I've had I start at the second to hardest difficulty, this is the only game where I've had to decrease the difficulty. No explanation from the game about Swallow, just eating apples and drinking water. Traversing the land and running away from everything. Level 1, run into lvl 9's. OSK. EVERY quest I find is recommended at least 3 levels beyond me. Try to rank up, but no xp from killing lvl 3 dogs. Finally find a quest I can do after reloading back 2 hours from family matters, following that witch bitch through the cave. have an inch of health, witcher sense this dog painting, explodes and kills me. FUCK. Find the sea guy, OSK'd by evil witch bitch. Ran out of food, no drowned brain for swallow, can't meditate before hand, FUCK THIS GAME.

Is there a place in gaming for shameless sexual content? I'm obviously aware of the big schoolyard fight that's going on in the industry at the moment about what games should and shouldn't be, but do you think there's a place in that vision for porn? Games like Senran Kagura and DoA Xtreme are titilation for titilation's sake, and isn't that okay? If there's a market for it, why should creative types not cater to that demographic? Can't we create games aimed squarely at a horny audience and that audience enjoy said erotic content and everyone be, I don't know, okay with that exchange? If movies and books can have erotica, why can't we?

Good overall but the removal of the mission boards and IQ skills and replacing them with fixed missions and RNG hurts the game too much for me to make it a favorite.
