Is this worth 3bux? Most of the negativity around it seems to exist because it feels more like an early proof-of-concept demo of a good action game than an actual full game; one that it would be good if it had more variety and was longer. But those were likely not from the game was on sale for so cheap.
The combat on its own looks fun and satisfying enough enough fo for a few hours to mess around in even if the enemies & settings are super-repetitive, and I want to support indie devs making this type of game.

Yeah that's the thing, I wouldn't pay 9 dollars for it since for only 7 I could get the cutesy 2D beat-em-up Edelweiss made (call me a filthy casual but I love Astebreed and from what I recall from 10 years ago Ether Vapor was fun) which seems like a more solid purchase. 3 dollars though sounds just fine for this type of experience and might help the devs work towards something bigger.

I was really mad there was never a paper luigi where these moments would match up in both games.
Sup /v/, I really enjoyed MGS 2 3 and 4. Mainly because of the story, the cinematographic setpieces and the overall atmosphere.
I'd really want to know if MGSV plays in the same league. Not a big fan of open world games and the core gameplay mechanics alone aren't a selling point for me.
Is MGSV a "typical" MGS title? I want a strong (if sometimes hilarious) narrative and crazy boss designs. MGSV just looks like a Far Cry with MGS paint over it to me...

The 'unfinished' and 'cut content' comments are absolutely true.
If you're set on playing it get it dirt cheap and go in with very low expectations. The story is unfocused/isn't that great and while the game-play and mechanics are pretty solid, the missions can get samey.
I had fun during certain missions or when I got very creative with the tools or weapons unlocked, but the game overall left me very fucking disappointed. Wish I wouldn't have bought it for $60 new.

Yes. People have leaked shit on /v/ before (like the DSi before it was even revealed in Japan), and I personally know quite a few reviewers + devs that shitpost on /v/.
4chan, unfortunately, is pretty damn mainstream nowadays. It shouldn't come as that big of a surprise.
Well a pipboy for the SE is not exactly a risky guess and Build Your Own Settlement was a pretty popular mod, and every "new" feature in bathesda games are exactly that, overall looks pretty legit
