Apparently I'm having no luck with racing games lately.
My menu looks like this. I get as far as selecting my 'commentary name' before it tells me it can't create my save. Anyone run into this issue before? I tried googling "GRID menu broken" and a few other similar searches, but I get jack shit.
Really at a loss for what to do here.

Whats funny is that both headsets have now launched yet it feels like no more than a thousand or so people have received their consumer orders.
With this and the lack of AAA flagship games to push the platform, Oculus and HTC/Valve seem to be doing their best to fuck the chances of VR taking off.
They had years to get it right and instead most people have reaffirmed their beliefs that VR is an overpriced gimmick with not enough early adopters to tell them otherwise.

What did y'all think? I'd give it a 6/10. Shit was loyal to the video game but it moved way too fast. The 1st case was over and done with way too quickly.

Yes, but it's aging poorly.
The engine is still basically the same as 1942, and both it and 2 were made in a time when a sizable number of people still had dialup, meaning the netcode, and hit detection, is utter shit. Kiddies complaining about BF3/4/H hit detection don't know what bad hit detection is.
The hit detection leads to bullshit like dolphin diving and bunnyhopping, which nobody liked to fight against, but you had to do it to not get killed.
There are too many one-hit-kill damage sources that make the game aggravating as well. The two biggest offenders being grenades and TV missiles. Having 3 grenades with a huge instakill zone, or infinite grenades with the Support kit, was stupidly overpowered. Anyone who has played BF2 knows about the grenade spam at the start of Karkand. And for TV missiles, instant death from a helicopter outside of draw distance meant that most ground vehicles were essentially useless.
Speaking of air, the air-ground balance was horrible. Stationary AA turrets were just kill farms for air, mobile AA had shorter range than the TV missile and jets moved too fast for it to score enough hits, and the Phalanx turrets were too easy to kill.
I've been playing it on Battlelog a lot recently. I used to think that it was a great game, because it was in its time, but after playing some BF4 and comparing the two, BF2 is just obsolete, and has a lot of glaring problems that were never fixed.

for its age, its still a lot better than most the console shit today. you make it sound like it has horrible issues.

I recently bought my Grandmother a 2DS because she was stuck at the hospital bored out of her mind. She likes Nintendo 64, so I figured it would give her something to pass the time until she got out (she did yesterday). All it came with was the pre-loaded Mariokart version XXXX.
In short she really likes it, and I want to buy her more games. Rather than buying new games that will be used anyway I was hoping to find a 'lot' of used games, since all that matters is that they function. I am rather wary of ebay since I was fucked over there before. I like amazon, newegg, tiger direct etc, someone I can bitch to if I get ripped off. I want to get as many 'good' games as possible for a hundred-two hundred bucks or so. I don't know much about handheld games, I stopped playing games quite a while ago. I realize I could emulate/crack the handheld, and believe me if it was for me that's what I would do; but I'd rather spend the couple of hundred bucks.
