Just starting to get acclimated with the PC scene since giving up on trivial console fanboyism. How am I looking /v/? Is this a good starting point?

If you can be a little patient there will be reviews asking "what's the minimum spec that can play this" - PC games tend to be really forgiving about the low end of the curve. It might list minimum spec but most games will play well below that- especially if you are willing to lower the resolution.
Resolution is the largest factor in performance in gaming. If you are willing to lower it you can almost play anything on anything - it's just a matter of to what extent are you lowering it.

I can live with lowered res. I've been playing blops3, fo4, xenoverse, mad max, ect in 720. Fraps are far beyond console shit, so I have no issues regarding the aforementioned.
