Is this the right place to ask questions about the plot of deus ex?
I finished it recently and felt confused by the execution and direction for many plot elements.
For example, was was the relevance of Icarus and Daedalus to the games plot? Sure, they form Helios. But their early game individual interactions seems quite patchy. Similarly, what was Bob Page's Actual motivations? What was the significance of his and Walton Simon's Clone in Area 51? Is the MIB you fight in this area JC's clone? etc

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I just started watching a few of these and I have to ask, do people really like listening to these guys shout indiscriminately like a bunch of retards? Like, can you just play the game and talk as opposed to shouting "OH MY GOD FUCK" every ten seconds?

The new guy was a bit better, but watching the Shadow the Hedgehog videos was still painful.
Watch them play DKC1, Chulip, Chu Chu Rocket and Goof Troop.
Theyre usually mellow or discuss topics in those episodes. If not that then youll get two friends competing and having fun.

Does this game still hold up? Downloaded it onto my PSP yesterday for nostalgias sake but I haven't played it yet....Years ago I played it and got pretty far,I think I was somewhere in disc 3 and I remember loving it,is it as good as I remember or is it just nostalgia talking?

Great for self-aware casuals, or those completely new to the genre. Makes first-time players feel good about themselves while learning the mechanics. Enemies never batter too hard, thanks to the more frustrating spells being taken away from them.

The training wheels come off, all enemies now fight with the abilities they would normally have, the rookie has to think and plan a little now. Despite that he's given a little extra health to make the game a little more fuck-up proof.

If Classic was taking the training wheels from a regular bike, Tactician mode is like riding a unicycle. All enemies get a greatly expanded number of abilities and will prey on the weak mercilessly, while expecting you to do the same.

At this point you're not even given a unicycle, you're just given the wheel to balance on. All actions here are permanent, you only get one save and if the entire party dies its game over. A mode designed for only the top-most of veterans as all enemies also pack 20% better stats.

I really liked howalmostevery single battle played out drastically differently from difficulty to difficulty.
You'd be surprised how much more spooky a skeletons get when they pack 3 different arrows.

Dark souls.
Dark souls is generally considered the closest to a berserk game among berserk fanbase.
There's also Dragon's dogma, which i can't say anything about since i haven't played it.

It's a bad way for someone that doens't know how to manage money or has eyes too big for their belly so to speak.
A good number have games have been made through it, it's just /v/ focuses on the failures because talking successes isn't very interesting.

Was every death in the game deserved?
Nobody really deserves anything for nothing. What you accomplish is all that you deserve.
In what way? As in were any deaths cheap and something you couldn't avoid? A majority of obstacles and traps are pretty fair. Capra is iffy because of the shit camera and how most bosses give you a second before tearing into you. Bed of Chaos is also problematic since you can be running and drop right through the floor, which is a bit cheap. Other than that there are a few traps and enemies in the game the even with careful observation would catch a player off guard.
Most deaths are fair though. I could probably count on one hand how many times I died where I actively felt that I had no way of knowing a way to avoid the death.

hey guys I am building a rig for gaming and anime because i just moved out. This will be my main source of entertainment for a long while and my budget is just under $1000. Anyways, I need help with some things. I am having trouble looking for a motherboard that will work with an Intel Core i7-4790 processor. In the /g/ sticky it says to " select a motherboard that is built with the same standard socket as your selected CPU, otherwise your computer cannot function" which is very concerning. I am not versed in technology at all so if you could please help me out; I would really appreciate it. I also need help picking out the other parts like the ram, storage, psu and case. Will any of you give me any recommendations for parts? Again i have no knowledge and am comparing parts to see what is affordable and will run good.
tldr; I need to build a pc for gaming and anime. My budget is $1000 and I have no idea what i'm doing. Can you reccomend me parts or tell me a decent set up i can use? Please and thank you!

Socket is literally what it sounds like. It's a socket on the motherboard in which you insert the CPU. Obviously if it's incompatible, you won't be able to even install the CPU.
