I'd say the vast majority of people who have played OoT loved it. It places #1 or top ten in the best games of all time lists constantly.
That isn't to say that a locked 20fps and constant menu entering to swap iron boots are contributing factors to this. Those suck and wouldn't have been an issue if the game was recent, thus, aged poorly

There's nothing wrong with it for now.
I really love the game so far and I've managed to avoid being spoiled at all excepting for the stress test area. And the game is way harder than I thought it would be.
I've beaten the first dark Souls with a warrior SL4 without any magic, no buff, no cheese strat and I'm currently doing my first playthrough with a dext no poise character. With the starting mercenary sellsword cemetaries.
Is it me who is bad or the game that is way more challenging? I'm atCarthus Catacombsright now and I'm tryharding theDancer because, I've found out that by killing the girl in the cathedrale you could fight it early. (I just wanted to reach the area with the ladder a bit higher).
Anyone else having trouble? I think that a dext starting soul level character will be hard to accomplish, but even playing normally it is so satisfying.
Dancer is definitely not an early-level boss, and even with around 30 str, I still don't have the poise to withstand a lot of shit despite wearing fat-roll armor.
As for the game itself, I don't feel like I'm leveling nearly as fast as I'd like to considering my first build in any Souls game is greatsword + pyromancy and miracles. Can't farm bosses either because they all give the exact same amount of souls, which makes no sense to me.
enemies are more aggressive and bosses require more perfect dodges to get through, while giving you less breathing room
anyone who claims its easier just got used to the previous games
Nope, it's probably the easiest Souls game. I died a good 25 times to Ludwig yet no boss in DaS3 took me more than 5 attempts (usually averaging about 2).

To answer your question though, it's getting great feedback and most people are surprised by how fun it is. I don't know if it's especially good or if they missed R&C after all these years, who knows.

Literally everything after chapter 1 is just train wreck, train wreck, train wreck till we get to pretty god final boss fight and then an irredeemably bad ending.
In think this game made Yakuza 3 and 4 which I thought had pretty shit stories look like fucking Shakespeare by comparison there wasn't even one new character I actually liked when I think about it.
Literally if there wasn't the fun sidequest stuff I would of just dropped the game.

Yeah the first chapter with Kiryu is definiely the highlight of the game. Sets a great mood but then the rest of the game shits all over it.

Is there any games out there that have a deep, detailed, and useful alchemy system? I wanna go out and explore a vast world for rare ingredients and craft potions and tonics and elixirs.

Not at all, but Itagaki's shit talking all those years and a limited print have made the game hard to find. If you ever see a copy going at a cheap price it might be worth it just for a laugh.
The multiplayer was supposed to have a PC release sometime this year, but I haven't heard jack shit about it all year so I guess that might not even be happening; which is a shame, it looked sort of fun. I can't imagine that the online is very active for the Wii U version.
