Because the game was released the day before Tony Hawk's Activision contract expired. They gutted most of the game to meet the deadline.

Art style is beautiful.
50 hour long story, but there's no optional dungeons/quests and most of those hours is grinding because the difficulty is so 92nd fucking bullshit even with buffs.

I'm having a faint light of hope with Sun&Moon, those little details like Rotom being the fucking Pokedex, the QR code stuff, Lillie and Prof Kukui designs, also the protags don't look like shit this time (godammit ORAS Brendan and XY Male MC were awful)
Also the new tropical setting looks like a fresh breath of air in a franchise that's becoming more and more stale
