Remember when Hollywood made cool, original and fun moviesthat weren't based on capeshit or books?

New ideas do not sell (unless you put a famous movie star in the lead).
That is how Hollywood is nowadays. It isnt a conspiracy. It is a fact.
The reason there are so many remakes is because they sell. But with this new Ghostbusters getting so much hate, well that is a message to Hollywood to think about what they are doing.

I just realised that Ultron is Nietsche's Ubermensch... And so is Joker. They act out of pure logic instead of wishfull thinking and they arer their own Gods. So what these movies do is treating logic as something that is evil. So the "heros" in these movies ultimatly fight logic. Tony Stark is supposed to be a genius but he can't understand the logic of Ultron. (Wihch isn't actually that hard to follow). So they imply that genius people would find pure logic "crazy". These movies are a statement against free thinking.

So do we know what the "extensive reshoots" were for?
Were they to make the film more "Disney" and family friendly and therefore shitty?

Yes, it's a great movie. Fun, too, more than a lot of stuff coming out in the last few years.
What's the single most saddest scene from a movie you've ever witnessed that still brings tears to your eyes just thinking about it?

Have you guys seen this? Liked it? Anything similar you'd like to bring up?
Seen it a couple nights ago with a friend, thought it was beautiful and perfectly shot, never as unbearably slow as I've read it was described - the little narrative tidbits where the image fragments and jars were maybe one of the subtlest, most "aesthetic" pieces of film I've seen lately. Reminded me a lot of Ben Russell's documentaries:

What is is about OP? I might watch it.
Since no one is posting, I'll keep adding stuff.
This is one of the few movies by Benning I've actually watched, but it was well worth it. At the cost of sounding pretentious, by filming clouds moving in the sky Benning managed to go back to one of cinema's roots (maybe THE root, as the word cinema itself derives from the Greek Kinesis), the act of capturing movement. One could draw similarities to Vertov's obsession with it, but while he was staunchly nihilistic about it (every single frame's destiny is to die in the birth of the next, this is...

This is exactly what I'm talking about
As someone who was actually looking forward to the movie, it was pretty much fucking god awful from top to bottom. Ben Affleck is a cool Batman, and the scenes of him laying an absolute beating on common thugs are awesome. Also, the post apocalyptic Batman dream was cool. Aside from that, it's just fucking terrible.
