How come Game of Thrones or Star Trek can have basic shots of people just talking to tell the story and then casually throw in some action here and there, but when the Star Wars prequels do it, no one likes it? Is it because they are movies and not TV shows?

In those making of documentaries, Lucas may be acting like any random idea he has is genius, but I don't see what's so bad about the franchise having a rhythm to it.
J.J. is seemingly eschewing the much maligned qualities of the prequels - yet the pottery is still in there, front and centre. Hell, they're likely to subvert expectations of the franchise repeating itself to deliver something no one would predict.

I just watched this...and its garbage. Literally the excellent tonal shifts cannot make up for an incoherent and nonsensical plot: the movie.
There was times where was firmly IMPOSSIBLE to tell what was going on...like when the girl goes crazy and starts kicking stuff out of the fucking NOWHERE...and that annoying little girl in the piano...the lil bitch got what she deserved for being so goddamn STUPID...also, the OST was fucking miserable...that ambient traditional japanese music mixed with 60s pop and american funk playing nonstop was gringing my gears.
For a 1:30 minutes long movie its boring as hell. COME AT ME.
